Great diet book, even though it doesn't feel anywhere like following a diet! Easy to read and comprehend! Author explains the goods and bads about dieting and breaks down why other diets fail, dicussing specifically each popular diet. The meals are quick and easy to prepare, if you choose to use them. Nothing is mandatory, only sugguested, which makes it easy to incorporate your own ideas and healthy preferences in his guidelines. The suggested protein shakes are quick to make, fun, and delicious to drink! The 12 "Abs Diet Power" foods/food groups are easy and relatively cheap to buy and incorporate into the diet as directed by the author. Great book overall, can be used as a healthy eating reference more than a "diet". I shed 25 pounds on this "diet" and i never had to starve myself and with his one meal a week "cheat" meal, i could endulge in my craving for that week! I loved the book and workout DVD and with both, i was very successful! The only thing i had trouble with was getting used to eating 6 times a day on a busy schedule. I found it helpful to log what i eat when i eat it to keep better track of my food schedule and also to maintain a variety of foods in my diet. It also helped to write down my workouts as well. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to shed some weight and build some muscle! It was safe, fun, and has permenantly changed my lifestyle eating to a more healthy, life-promoting style!
