This processor replaced a single core chip, it is about 20% faster, I feel I spent about 25% to much.

) Had a socket 939 system That I could not give up and looked for a dual core cpu. I was surprised how hard they were to come by. I missed a few bidding wars before this one but I received it promptly, dropped it in my system, adjusted the bios, downloaded AMD's X2 software and it streams video superbly. My Home Theater PC is just about ready to take over all my audio and video and TV needs.
