| Product Information | The Campus-RS DC Desktop Unit (CARS-52) with an RS interface card installed comprises half of an HDSL transmission system. When connecting to another Campus-RS desktop or line unit, three standard HDSL transmission rates (E1, T1, 768) are available. The unit can be configured to support an extended HDSL Operating Mode: over a single-loop connection, it supports rates from 64 to 2304 kbps in 64 kbps increments, and over a dual-loop connection, it supports rates from 256 to 4308 kbps in 128 kbps increments, depending on the interface card. The extended HDSL Operating Modes provide a way to make trade-offs between the reach of the HDSL line and the transmission rate.
