A Rush of Blood to the Head by Coldplay (CD, Aug-2002, Capitol/EMI Records)

I, honestly, didn’t think much of the songs when I heard them sporadically on the radio; but when I sat down and heard the whole album in one sitting, I was impressed. I just think that you have to be in a certain mood to enjoy Coldplay fully, like if you’re at home and wanting to have a relaxing day. If, on the other hand, you’re in the car and wanting to hear something more upbeat, Coldplay does not do it for me.

Still, when you’re in the mood for it, nothing beats this album. I love the songs, beginning to end.

The second album from Coldplay and jsut as deserving praise. With multiple awards won for this album, each is definitely worth their weight. The smooth singing style of Chris Martin and beautiful piano pieces, make this album good for any occasion, except maybe a rave. You won't be disappointed with this purhcase and may burn your CD player out playing it.

Great CD. I wish I would have bought this when it first came out. Chris Martin's voice is amazing.

This CD was probably tied with X&Y for my favorite album from Coldplay. I love Coldplay's music, especially listening to it on a spring day. If you're like me and you have memories which each song that you like, you'll wanna pick a nice sunny day to listen to this one...I remember getting it for Easter and it brings me back to nice days every time I hear this CD.
Best tracks: Warning Sign, Clocks, The Scientist and Green Eyes.

Super album.Great band.Not an all time classic but goddamn brilliant.I thought this album was a lot better than the follow up x&y which had a few great songs on but not half as many as this album.

My girlfriend had it before but lost it. I got it for her as a little present. She loved it. She listens to it all the time.

I haven't received this product yet. I am very disappointed with the speed of delivery. If somebody can get back to me and let me know why I haven't received the CD yet it would be greatly appreciated.

What a lame Cd. Lucky I only paid about $4. Next time I will do a little more research on albums. This review panel is screwed up wants me to write 3400 characters. Thats what you get for outsourcing your IT to India or Singapore or whatever. Good music without a lot of trash in it! Appropriate for my 13 year old daughter, who wants "cool" music, but has parents who will NOT allow the swearing and sexual content of today's youth music!

i love the cd because it has great music on it, and it helps expand my musical collection. The CD is great and in nearly perfect condition. That is great becase i got it for only 6 dollars too. The song clocks is great and the rest of the songs are excellent as well. There is nothing to disslike about it. I am actually giving the CD to my mother because she likes coldplay.

I liked the album and didn't need a new one. It was a great price for the cd and the seller had a wonderful rating so I bought from them.

great cd... i am a really big fan of coldplay... i used to own this cd, but i have no idea whatever happened to it. the music is really good,and when i saw it on ebay, i had to have it

owned this cd before, beautiful, expansive, resonant. coldplay does have a truly unique sound despite the many attempts to parallel them. this cd will stand the test of time and civilization.....

A smooth comination of poetry and music. U2 has got nothing on COLDPLAY vocals. They have the psychic energy of the MOODY BLUES in a younger day.

I picked up this album based on one song and found that all the songs on the album are soulful and relaxing. Its a good album to put on after a stresful day or just when you want to kick back and relax.

Ahh, Coldplay, one of the best known acts around, so I decided to give them a shot. I wasn't too impressed with this album, but it does seem to be better than most of the crap being put out in this genre today. While it does have it's shining moments(Warning Sign, Clocks, The Scientist, Green Eyes), it seems that there's a bit too much filler here. While this record is undoubtedly a great pop record, it doesn't quite meet up to my standards. At least it helps to vary my music collection.

My husband and I LOVE Coldplay, and this is my favorite of their albums. The accompianment that goes with the smooth vocals is just so soothing! The guitar and piano is just amazing. Can't wait for their next one this year!

This CD was for a Christmas gift and the seller stated that the item was brand new. It was far from it. The CD looked like it had never been in its case, it had many scratches and finger prints on it. I emailed the seller three times and he did not reply to me. Not until I contacted eBay and filed a complaint did the seller get back to me but then he tried to make me take back the negative feedback I left, accussing me of being a complainer, and telling me that the item WAS brand new when he got it. This is the first time I have had an experience like this since I have been with eBay (2004) and I was very disappointed. I will not buy from this person again, nor will I buy from a seller that has had negative feedback in the past (as this seller previously did from other buyers).

This is one of those CDs that you can't get enough of. The vocals are amazing (mainly because of his wide range) But I'll agree with others, you have to be in a certain "mood" to listen - the best time is at night in bed or a secluded place. Most of the songs have a relaxed feeling, but some can really be upbeat and "moving". Give this CD a try and I'm sure you'll love it.
