Good Job
"A Quick One" is soemthing any real Who collector ought to have but it is not for the casual fan. The casual fan should first get "Who's Next," "Tommy," and "Quadrophenia" and in that order. Those albums hold the greater balance of the group's work as rock historians now look back. But "A Quick One" shows the musical struggles of a 60's british invasion band venturing into heretofore unknown directions of the new art form called rock 'n roll. It's unpolished and full of clunckers but it's pushing the edge of the envelope at the time. As we all know now, the band (more like Pete Townsend) later found their own musical direction and became a massive influence on rock 'n roll.
