A Public Affair by Jessica (Pop) Simpson (CD, Aug-2006, Epic USA)

Okay, okay.. the album is not bad.. what why is it that whenever I listen to a Jessica Simpson Album, I enjoy it, but I do not feel inspired. Don't give me wrong, I am actually a huge fan of hers, but where is the inspiration in her songs? You are always left feeling there is something missing and it was not quite what you were looking for. This had to be her last chance to make a musical statement internationally but I am afraid she failed to do it. Sorry Jess.. just an honest fan here.

I really liked this new CD of Jessica's especially for listening to when I'm on my treadmill. The songs are generally upbeat, and you feel like dancing along but preferably not on the treadmill. LOL! I especially like the single I Belong To Me. Take that, Nick Lachey! You go, girl! Great album for all ages!

This CD is a delight, you can listen all the way through and no bad songs. Jessica proves she is more than just a pretty girl, but a great producer, songwriter and an excellent singer. Her best CD yet!

I was very disappointed in this CD. There was only two songs i liked one a remake "You spin me round (Like a record)" was the best of the two i liked. The rest of this CD was poor choices in songs for a great voice like Jessica's i really have notice she's not doing to well lately in her picks. I hope she makes the next one better? Luckily i still have her first CD it's still the best of her talents i think.

Either she is getting bad business advice or she really is this clueless. To be this young and doing so many remakes is not a smart move. On this cd, she covers dance rock group Dead or Alive and country artists Patti Griffin and Dixie Chicks. She also uses many samples from many artists, including Madonna.

The other thing that irritates me about her is Jessica can sing, but she has always lacks uniqueness in her voice. That is why her previous albums never sold anything. Therefore, it is my opinion she decided to go for a kitty-like voice this time so she could sell records. It is clear to anyone listening to this cd, that Jessica looks up to Madonna. What Jessica fails to see is Madonna has never been a powerhouse vocalist, but her voice is unique and she has amazing star quality which is something Jessica lacks. Jessica also fails to realize is Madonna is no longer the force she used to be and copying her at this point is not a smart idea.

This cd is worthless! Jessica, please find your own backbone and just be yourself on your next record.

This seller had their account deleted due to some kind of problem unknown. i never received the product and had to send in info. to a ebay staff, we ordered it like over a week ago and im disappointed that i have to find this sellers info. now and contact them. i will not buy from this seller again!

I like the differnt insturements that where played in the music. I love her voice. I love her creativty n putting the musiC together.

I bought this CD because I have her other albums and have been satisfied in the past. I now understand why she went country because her voice is so light in certain parts of the songs. There are also melodies that are taken from other artists' songs to help enhance them.

Great songs and very meaningful lyrics! I love this album.Jessica Simpson is very talented. This is one of her best albums yet!

Jessica rates in the top five powerful voices !! She is as talented as she is beautiful !! She is adorable !!
