A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle is by far the most profound and enlightening book I've ever read. During my three years in seminary, coupled with seven years in full-time parish ministry, I've read a lot of books, but none so interesting and thought provoking as A New Earth. It has not only deepened my faith in God, but helped me understand that we really are spiritual beings having a human experience....not human beings having a spiritual experience!
This book was also very helpful to me with regard to understanding the ego (Edging God Out) and the many tricks the ego plays on the human mind. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking to broaden their faith in God, become more conscious in their daily life, gain a more accurate interpretation of key biblical passages, and quiet the ceaseless noise (unconscious thoughts) that preoccupy the "monkey mind" in so many people like myself.
It's clear to me that Eckhart loves Jesus and his teachings. He admitted this much in a video interview I watched. Another attractive aspect of this book is that, regardless of a person's religious affiliation, what he teaches has the potential to only deepen one's faith, that is, as long as the reader engages this book with an open mind!

I love this book. I use it like a study manuel to life. I bought this book because it is Eckhart Tolle. I have loved Tolle ever since I read his first book. This is some powerful reading.

These CD's are excellent and I love being able to listen to this book in the car or at home. This book makes me think about life in general and about my life in particular. Because it is recoeded I can listen until I understabd all the concepts.

Very easy to read, or listen to if you have the books on CD.
Are you in a place where you know you are growing spiritually? Do you have hang ups with the religious beliefs you where raised with. Searching for your own path?
This is book is for you. Eckart Tolle has such a great way of expressing himself clearly. I highly recommend this book. This book also makes a great gift.

I've been reading the book and listened to Oprah's Skype shows on this book but with my busy schedule I wasn't able to keep up. By purchasing the book on tape version, I can listen to it back and forth to work. He has some very interesting life changing things to say. I frequently catch my ego getting me into trouble. I loved this book!

I bought it because I was following the Oprah book club class on it and it's easier to hear it rather than read it. I sometimes have problems with the voice of the reader, in this case the author. I enjoyed this very much and his reading of the book was more like he was trying to really explain all this to me. I 'read' the book while driving my car, perfect!

It answered some questions that I have had for much of my life. I bought it on recommendation from a friend. I hesitated to get into it... not my usual read. I would have paid many times more for the benefit I realized from the book. Must have been one of those things that come to me when I am ready.

If terms such as ego, the pain body, Carl Yung, etc. are of interest to you, then this is an excellent book. I listened to the audio version, read by the author. I feel is voice is rather flat and uninteresting and I think I would have enjoyed reading the book more than listening. However, I enjoyed the intertwining of the world's major religious philosophies and psychology. I have strong Christian beliefs, and this book does apply to Christian teachings, using psychological terminology.

It was wonderful to hear Eckhart's voice reading the book - and to be able to listen and re-listen to the wisdom. My only lament is that the whole world cannot instantly benefit from this important information at once so the madness of humanity cannot be cured in us all instantly. If you are open to it..buy it and study it in book, on CD or any way you can!

If everyone listened to or read this book, the world would truly be a better place. I found the book on CDs very convenient to listen to in my car. If you are struggling with figuring out your life's purpose, this book contains all of the answers that you need.

This is the second book from Eckhart Tolle that I have read. He has tremendous insight into human behavior. I do not believe that this book should be the last word on human emotion or spirituality. Like all wisdom compiled by the human mind it is subject to change or flaw. In the search for self and spirituality I would recommend this book.

I think this is a great book (on CD, of course). My only complaint is that the Eckhart Tolle's voice is so quiet and calm that I seem to start dozing off after a little bit of listening. I decided to buy it because I seem to have more time to listen than to read. This Eckhart Tolle's philosophy is very inspiring. I recommend this to anyone who is searching for meaning and purpose.

This book is excellent, if you want to pick out the psychological self-help gems while you're reading.

Recommended by many friends...........a great listen in the car! I prefer audiobooks, as I have very little time in my life to actually sit and read. And, with long commutes, audiobooks seem to be so much more beneficial than listening to "bad" news.
