A First Look at Communication Theory by Em Griffin, Emory A. Griffin (2008, Paperback)

I purchased this textbook for my daughter in college. After purchasing I realized it was the "international" version. I went back on Ebay to "read the fine print" about the book, the seller stated that it was the international version and that the text was exactly the same as the U.S. version. I was nervous about the purchase, however, my daughter has told me that indeed, the book is the same as the U.S. version. And it was quite a bit cheaper that her purchasing it through the school bookstore. Now, I will not be so hesitant to purchase a "international" version book, especially if the seller does state that it is the same as the U.S. version.

This is a great book for anyone interested in Communication or majoring in the subject. The chapters are easy to understand and even enjoyable. I would highly recommend this book.

I could've bought a book of the same condition from a bookstore and bought it for double the amount, I was very happy with the excellent condition; book was in great shape!

The book was in good shape.There wasn't any torn pages.I needed the book for class at UTSA. otherwise I probably would not of bought it. WOrk out good though

I think this is a good communications book necessary for any communication student to have. What I don't like about it though is the way things are organized. Like, it's hard to find certain articles and authors.

Content-wise though, I would definitely recommend it.

I bought "A first look at communication theory" for a class. The textbook was shipped within a day and was received by the end of the week.

I used this book for my COM 207 class; and because it was an online summer class, it was rigorous with no lecture so I was required to actually read the book. Lucky for me, the author made the book interesting so that I actually enjoyed reading it. The content in the book can actually be applied to your own life.

I bought this book because it was necessary for class. The book is easy to read and full of examples. I personally don't like it, but that is because the way the teacher uses it or more doesn't use it. Overall, it is easy to read.

I needed the book for a communications class but I never received it, the seller never replied to my emails, I was never refunded the money, and then I had to go purchase a new copy at the bookstore because I needed it for class. I would not recommend this seller to anyone. I even filed a claim and have not heard from anyone.

I like this book because the structure is very straightforward, and is designed in a way that makes sure you can tie everything together in the end. The author sounds intelligent and very knowledgeable, but conveys ideas in terms that are easy to understand/grasp.
