Super Mario Sunshine (Game Cube, 2002)

Any Mario game is amazing. However this Mario game is the latest and greatest of them all.

I Super Mario Sunshine you are playing as Mario and what else are you trying to do but save the PRINCESS. This time around Boswer Jr. is doing the dirty work. You are thrown in jail becase Bowser jr. made a fack mario that causes havok everywhere. Mario gets to use a water pack as well as yoshi to help him in his search for the PRINCESS!!!!

This was a very great game and if you dont own it i suggest you either rent it or buy it becuase it is a must have.

Mario is a favorite in our house so we naturally purchased this game. Everyone in the family loves it from my 4 year old son up to myself and my husband. It provides a challenge for almost any stage gamer. There are areas that are too difficult for my youngest son to beat but with a little help from another family member he keeps it going. The object of the game is to clean up Isle Delfino and track down the real character behind all of this so the Shine Sprites can shine again. An imposter Mario has plastered the entire island with graffiti. Along the way you run into many obstacles to beat along with some interesting puzzles. A great game for hours and hours of entertainment.

Now this is a great game for children! I find myself too old for this one as it is TOO bright, TOO cheery & TOO kiddish, BUT the children LOVES It!

A fun family game with the theme of the good o'l Super Mario, but for us adults that know & love the first games this doesnt stretch, BUT, again a good game for the children!

I have played and loved Mario as far back as I can remember, all the way back to the NES and now on the Gamecube(GC) and have never been disappointed. This game is no different. The player has to help Mario clean his name (and the island) when an evil copy-cat starts terrorizing the poor people of Isle Delfino. Much like it's N64 version, the player has full freedom for what they do with Mario. The only downside to this is that Mario has limited actions. You mainly have to rely on Mario's new friend FLOOD. This machine is what Mario uses to clean up the messes around him. It can squirt water, help you hover, jump very high, or run very fast. Also, Mario still has a good arsenal of jumps to keep you exploring new areas. This game is great for any dedicated Mario fan or for entertaining young kids which makes it a great family game. I hope Nintendo keep doing a good job even on the next system.

This is an EXCELLENT game tons of fun to play for weeks... or months so many cool worlds to check out and mindblowing graphics the levels start out super easy once you've been playing a little while a evil mario comes out to cause trouble you have a watergun for a weapon, there is alot of coin collecting, and fruit gathering all in all it is a very intertaining and fun game, although if you're obsessed with completing games in full this will be a Great Challenge!!

This game is an alright Mario game but definatly not the best one out and not

even the best one for the gamecube. First thing I noticed was that it is

pretty hard to complete I never even finished beating it. Some of the levels

they want you to do are kind of hard. But if you are a huge Mario just rent

this game and you will be happy enough. If you are looking for a good

Mario/Luigi game go with Luigis Mansion. Thank you

...awaits you from beginning to end, but to Mario, its anything but a vacation. This game is far from the traditional Mario bashing blocks, having super powers etc. His main weapon of both defense and offense is a pressurized, personified, computerized water squirter.
It can be used for hovering in air, taking care of contamination, revealing secrets, puzzle solving, and destroying enemies. IF YOUR GOOD AT FIRST PLAYER SHOOTERS, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME as challenging as it is.

I personally liked the Island Jazzy Music, and the bright vacation spots the most. The hardest part of the game to me is the challenging platformers where the way of death is missing the platforms, probably the only traditional part remeniscient of Mario games. Too bad for no Luigi involvement at least to how far I came in game, for I could'nt beat it.

Great game. Children love to play it. It is has easy instructions and can be played by children as young as 3. I have grandchildren that young and up and they are cheering each other and learning as they go. Mario is a fun little character that children like to see win.

If you have read my other reviews of Mario Brothers games, you know that I am a Big Fan of their games ... but Sunshine left me wondering if they made it to just capitalize on the Mario Brothers success. After just a few times playing it, myself and my son put it to the side! If you have the rest of the Mario Brothers games and want to complete your set .. buy it ... but in my opinion, you best not get your hopes up too high for a great game - it is okay at best! (Sorry Sunshine fans..)

To tell everyone frankly.... this is the hardest game ever to beat.... for me, took me too many times to finish one level at a time, require a very steady gamer's hand and a lot of patience, I find everything on this game interesting, except for one, it is very hard to beat, to the point my 6 year old son put it literaly to the garbage can, if only Nintendo made some level selections....i.e.... easy, normal or hard.... initially the game is pretty much easy, but as you progress... goodness, if you are the type of player that gets irritated in failing too much, then this isn't the game for you. Reminds me of the Old Super Mario Bros.... the one that Nintendo Japan released, That's in the same league as this.... anyways.... have fun playing, and stay away from bad stuff....

Mario games never get old to me and this is one of my favorite ones! I personally own just about every Mario Game ever made and love playing them. I really recommend that you buy this one because it is a really good one!

I Mario Sunshine Mario and Princess Peach are taking a vacation! At the arrival, You go to work and get hold of a water pack to blast your enemies to their doom. After defeating your first boss, the islanders accuse you as being the one who place graffeti throughout the island. You are put into jail to but given one chance to prove your not the real villan, Baby Bowser (AKA: Shadow Mario.) Fly through many different levels completing missions and aliminating the graffetti! This game will have you glued to the screen for hours! Fun for the whole family to enjoy!!! This is a great addition to your Mario or GameCube collection!!! This is the best GameCube game out there!!! Thanks for looking!!!

This game was really good. It's challenging at some points, but you just have to get the hang of it. it's great for all ages, even if you haven't played Mario games before, I highly recommend this one.

as far as mario action platform games go, this is probably my least favorite. the art is bright and gorgeous, the new cute island characters are nice, and the controls are easy to use, but its just not that fun. like super mario world for SNES, there's a quick ending and a completionist's ending, but sunshine's puzzles are just frustrating at times. i played this one for months and never beat it. the secrets were easy to spot, but for each one i would spend hours on end trying to time the same sequence of jumps, launches and other actions JUST RIGHT in hopes of reaching it, only to fail and start back over from the beginning again.

also, that water pack you have to carry throughout the entire game is just irritating. the idea of a water jetpack is neat, but the use of an anthropomorphic whining one isn't nearly so amusing. i'd probably give the game 4 stars if it didn't talk.

A combination of the greatly love Mario mixed with a new twist; a water gun. Cleaning made easy and fun! I decided to purchase this game because of Mario and the fact that it was a whole new adventure that Mario is undergoing. Its a pretty easy game to play but well worth it!

THis is a great game, and is very simular to mario 64. but, it is VERY hard, in my opinion. I have no idea how a kid is supposed to complete this game! I am 28 years old, and I constantly cuss out this game! don't get me wrong, it is very fun to play, but if you have little to no patiance, don't even pick up the controller!

Great game, pretty decent graphics, but fun, brings the life back to mario and nintendo, very well designed game.

My daughter loves this game!!!!!!!!!!! Navigation is hard for me but hours of fun for my 8 year old.

I was hoping that this game would be like the other classic Marion games but it really is not all that fun. It even gets a bit frustrating at times. It does have a good concept and could be a lot more fun if you did not have lives. It could have used some better graphics too. I would not recommend this game and I am going to go and trade this one in for another.

Super Mario Sunshine is a great game. It starts out Mario is in a plane with Princess Peach on his vacation. On a little screen a giant shine sprite comes on and it advertises for a vacation spot named Isle Delfino. Mario goes to the Island and then the trouble starts. A mysterious shadow Mario starts causing mayhem on Isle Delfino. The natives on Isle Delfino think this is Mario. So his punishment is to clean up Isle Delfino. The graphics are amazing for a Gamecube game. It also is playable on Wii which is a big bonus!!! Overall I give Mario Sunshine a 5 out of 5. Please vote this review helpful.
