Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 (Playstation 3, 2008)

I own both a PS3 and an XBOX 360 so was trying to decide which version of this game to get. I downloaded both demos and compared them side by side on graphics and gameplay and found that the PS3 version was limited to 720p while the XBOX 360 version was running at 1080i - I suspected that it was just because the PS3 demo was set to play at 720p only. I ended up buying the PS3 version because the colors seemed to be brighter and after reading a review elsewhere that quoted the EA Sports design team saying they had made great efforts to bring the PS3 version inline with the XBOX 360 version in terms of graphics.

When the game arrived it ran at 720p only and there was no support for the PSN Trophy system. While there is nothing wrong with the gameplay - it is identical to the XBOX 360, I found that the limited display resolution and lack of Trophies was enough to sway me over to the XBOX 360 version !

Tiger Woods '09 brings a much improved feeling to the golfing experience as the swinging has improved. Also, you are told exactly how you swing so that you may compensate for your natural swing (I tend to hook the ball myself).

The graphics are great as usual (although the background scenery is not stellar).

The level designs are impressive and challenging and the game's music score is excellent and makes the game experience fun.

Online play is smooth and the simultaneous game play is a great development in the series as every player can swing without waiting for their opponents.

Cons: You cannot skip your CPU opponents turns during tournaments which makes them take forever.

There should be more mini games as some were removed from last years title.

Announcers can get annoying and lack enthusiasm

The game is very addicting!!!!!!! Amazing golf game. Best golf game I have ever played. The new ps3 swing control is a great new feature and makes you consider an actual swing when playing more.

This game improves with every year. The only thing I didn't like about years past is the slow online play. Now you are able to play online against people in the same amount of time it would take for a single player round. The added courses are also a plus

The game was sealed and with no damages to the game case. I have played it twice already (a few hours each time) and the picture is amazing and didn't experience any glitches. When I opened the game I immediately check for any scratches, smudges, or signs that it had been used and didn't find any. This was the first time I had bought a game on ebay and I'm glad I purchase this one because it is as if I walked into the nearest game store and took it off the shelf.

It's fun and not too overly difficult to play. courses look good. And the sounds are cool, there are airplane sounds and the ocean scenes are pretty cool with waves breaking. Fun game. I like it a lot.

A very good game that could've been great. The way the menu and the game is setup can be confusing at times. The gameplay itself is excellent and lot's of fun when you play with other people.

Brand New! That says a lot. I have played older versions of this game and I was looking forward to playing the newer version. The game is awesome.

I love this game because it has the tecnology to put your face in the game. that is just cool.the tiger woods franchise has been one of my favorite games and 09 has not let me down in the least. I played it the entire day as sonn as I got it. It was just too hard to put the controller down.Everything on the graphic are so realistic. I just love to play this game.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 is one of the best games out there for the Playstation 3. The only thing I hate about the game is that not all of the famous PGA golfers are in it like Phil Mickelson. I wish he was in there. The photo game face feature is really cool. I havent tried Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 but I am planning on getting it to see the new features.

GREAT GAME AND GREAT PRICE...cool graphics and very challenging coppared to the other golf games i have had..just when you thinh technology might have slowed down some it seems to have gotten even better and faster..i highly recommend this game...and then there is tiger woods 10 to contend with..like i said...technology...

Love the game set up. Great game play, not near as hard as the orginal version.
The fly bys are cool and power shots are fun. ALl in all worth the money.
