I practically played every Final Fantasy game but none was as special as this one. The storyline was one that captured most of my love for this game, its the characters, the music, and even the new and improved graphics that make this DS version of one of my favorite games, completely stunning.

Final Fantasy 4 was one of, if not my favorite game growing up. Of course you never want to see you childhood ruined by some crappy upgrade/remake and this DS upgrade does not disappoint in any way. The graphics, audio, and even the voice acting is perfect. I recommend this to any RPG fan with a Nintendo DS/

The old version of the game on famicon (japanese nintendo) has always left an impression on me. It was the first RPG that let you ride multiple vehicles and even some more. It also utilized the active battle system that will never leave you bored in a battle. The background music is amazing. This is also the first Final Fantasy that had many different character personalities.
This remade ds version just takes this game to another level. All 3-d with voice acting that brings the drama to life. I love the story and the music most of all. I have to say this is one of the better old fashioned RPGs out there.

If your an RPG fan, this game has everything for you, an awesome storyline, in-depth characters, and some of best music and graphics in as DS game. Final fantasy IV is an old classic, and a game that, though tougher then any of the other versions, will keep you playing for hours, and having the main theme stuck in your head for days. If you've never played this, your missing out, on one of the most legendary games, from one of the greatest RPG times. A must buy for any Final fantasy fan, or any fan looking for a good game, with a great story line, and lots of fun.

If you're the type of person who has a short temper, or little patience... DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! While FF4 is definitely not a bad game, it's insane difficulty will REALLY try your patience! So if you plan to buy FF4, be for-warned... Its VERY HARD!

This game was a walk through memory lane, and then some. I played the original back when it was FF2 for the SNES, and picked this up on a whim to see if it was as good as I remembered. Sure enough, it was! The DS graphics give this game a great look, and the music scores are a delight. The voice overs are fun, and add a nice element when they are used, but don't occur with the frequency that I would have liked. The other newer features (I think the augments are new) that weren't in the original are fun, but not in and of themselves worth buying the game over. If you like RPGs, however, and want to experience a real quality classic then this is a must-play.
Downsides:
I already knew the storyline from playing it back in '91 (or was it '92...), so the plot twists weren't total shockers for me. The nostalgia made it worth it though.

Played this as FF II when released on the SNES back in 91, This game is what started my love for Final Fantasy. Been playing the series ever since then. I recommend this game for any fan of FF, or an old-school rpg fan.

This is an amazing game, but what really threw me was the voice acting. That made my day. Great storyline, nice CG graphics, upgraded sprites, challenging bosses, ect. what's not to love? If you haven't played this version or haven't played Final Fantasy IV at all, get this game. It's worth your time and money. I would reccommend it to anyone.

This game has everything in it that I loved about the Super Nintendo version...the music, the story, the characters. I think I would've been too much of a FF snob if it didn't! :) This version is much harder than the SN game, so my nearly 2 decade experience with it didn't make the DS version too much of a cake walk. Fortunately, there are LOTS of online resources, so you don't have to get too frustrated. Haha, overall, I definitely would recommend for all (though would be too difficult for particularly young kids).

I really like the graphics in this game. The battle system reminds me of when I played FF10 for playstation 2. Most of the music is awesome and the characters are more in-depth than I thought they would be. I also like how it has an auto-battle selection which makes gaining more levels a little easier. I bought it because I have never played final fantasy 4 but have played some of the others.

) This game is truly epic. (I don't say 'epic' very often either, but there is no other word to describe this game.) It has huge scale, incredible challenges, and memorable characters. Even if you have already played this game on GBA, or SNES, or PS1, this will be like a whole new game. I can't stress enough that this is a must-have for FF fans and RPG lovers as a whole. If you're a FF fan who is on the fence about this because you don't want to buy the same game again, trust that this is a whole new experience. FFIV fans, such as myself, will be in love with the game after the opening cut scene. I didn't want the game to end!
FFIV is typically considered the most difficult in the series. This version does not disappoint. In fact, as a seasoned FFIV player, I found I had to invent new strategies to overcome many bosses. The game set on 'active time' and at fastest battle speed will challenge the most seasoned RPG player.

I personally have a deep love for the Final Fantasy series. So when I found out that Final Fantasy IV came out, I knew I had to get it. The game is remade quite the same way Final Fantasy III was. They did change a few things like map placement and such as well as having the game rely mostly on the buttons than the touch screen which I was okay with. They added cut scenes with some pretty good voice acting, I must say. Now with my particular copy, The battle animation seems a little choppy but then again, I have a previously used copy. I suggest that if you are into in-depth stories and just a wonderful rpg, this definitely belongs in your collection.
