NBA Live 08 (Xbox 360, 2007)

PROS: Having played the NBA live series before, in many versions, on the Playstation 2, I can tell you the '08 xbox 360 version feels like an entirely different 'world'. The realism is just incredible, and the game play is compelling. It's challenging though the learning curve is easy.

CONS: There are no legends (past great players) included this time -- no Larry Bird, or Kareem Abdul-Jabaar, and while roster updates can be downloaded, none of those available appear to fill that gap.

So, if you're ok with playing strictly with the current NBA lineups, this game is unbeatable.

Great game, but as with most sport's game, if you've played/owned the previous edition there's no point in shelling out the big bucks when the game first comes out...wait a few weeks and pick up a used copy.

First off let me just say that I pretty much play just sports games for my xbox 360 and have played both the 2k series and live series. I would rate this game an 8 out of 10. It has everything you could want in a basketball game. The new feature go-to moves makes this game fresh and exciting and unlike any other basketball game to hit the market. To be able to control your favorite player like kobe bryant and pull off a signature fadeaway in the clutch is what makes this game as real as it gets for gamers. The graphics are easily the best of any basketball game to date. Although defensive movement seems to be a struggle at times, it is still a blast to play.Controls are pretty easy to master both on offense and defense. The defense as I mention needs to be upgraded, movement is a little slow and lacks a true defensive stance when guarding an opposing player. All of these positives have reinforced my decision to buy this game. EA Sports reigns at the top of all the sports games for the xbox 360.

I like bacon alot it is one of my favorite foods, But the real Questions is what is better NBA LIVE 08 OR NBA 2K8. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT I ENJOY BACON WITH CREAM CHESE AND BAGELS,,,YAY FOR NBA LIVE 08 AND BAGELS

Great basketball title, the new nba allstar weekend is a blast would recommend to anyone that likes basketball.

I like that it is realistic other games have some player shooting like 6 3 pointwers in a row or from half court 5 times a game. This one is more real to true ball playing. I did not like the player on the cover Ben Gordon would have been better. I do not like Kobe he is soooooooooooo overrated. But very real playing with a human or the Compue. A slick game with bogus front cover. Good to Go.

A very fun and exciting game . Plays fluidly like a real game of basketball as you must strategically work for open shots to score. Graphics are awesome I love this game. I bought it at a great price and I love the EA sports brand.

Nothing boring slow to hard to play! Would not recommend...played 300 games online on 07 and was way better than this one.....the only thing good about this is the graphics..not very fun,or playable

The more I play it, the longer it seems to take for the game to Load. The actual game itself, I thoroughly enjoy. It may be the 2008 game and not the new one, but I still enjoy it. Also everyone says that the 2K sports games are better, but I disagree, the NBA Live games are much better.

awesome game, i'm not even a big basketball fan, but this game plays great. highly reccomended ! so many options to choose from too. you can play the all star game, 3 point competition, dunk contest, and much more.

All in all the gaming experience is good. No problems to report. The only reason it isn't excellent rating is because very few games are excellent.

THIS CAME CAME IN A CASE WITH HALF THE PLASTIC FALLING OFF FROM A HUGE RIP IN IT AND ON TOP OF THAT WONT EVEN PLAY... NEEDLESS TO SAY IM DISAPPOINTED..

This game was quite a let down. I had NBA Live 06 for my original xbox and the players reacted and played just like I expected they would. In this game, the AI is poor and the players frequently make plays that just confuse me. A fast break 2 on 1, let's pass it up and away from my teammate to stop the fast break. A player is cutting to the basket? Let's pass it over his head so he has to jump for it and allow the defense to get back into position. Little things like this ruin the gaming experience and cause the game to feel like a cheap knockoff of last years version.

gamplay leaves something to be desired. i had high hopes but they were crushed. this game kinda sucks.
