Smallville - Season 1 (DVD, 2003, 6-Disc Set)

Smallville Season One introduced us to a young (teenager) Clark Kent. Still in high school, he is trying to understand his life and why he is different. Throughout the season Clark gets new powers and meets new people (Including Lex Luthor and Lana Lang, both who are in the comics).

This is a great show to watch because you get a real look into Clark Kent before he became Superman. The special effects and story lines make this a must watch for any Superman Fan.

An all star cast including Tom Welling as Clark Kent. This is also great family TV show. A great TV show (and DVD box set)! DVD’s include awesome extras!

I am a very much avid fan of the superman story, and I think that this show does a good job of retelling it with a few new twists.

I have tried a few times to get involved in the storyline, but have not been able to... have concluded it has a lot of continuity from previous seasons, that makes it hard for a newbie to get involved...

So Best Bet is to Buy, Rent or otherwise view this first DVD of the series!

Smallville is just about the best show out there. Its about Clark Kent played by tom welling ( major hottie)who is a normal teenager. Sort of, well he has super powers and hes from the planet Krypton. That seems pretty normal to me.
Anywho, hes got these gr8 friends Chloe, and pete and some awsome parents johanathan and martha kent. Then theres Lana Lang, Clarks crush a beautiful cheer leader with a hot jock as a bf Whitney. But whitney isnt Clarks main problem with Lana- The necalace she wears around her neck is. She has this necalace thats made out of meteor rock (kriptonite). you see, in the town of smallville, kansas they had a meteor shower that clark was brought to earth in. It all sound so conjusing but once u buy the Season 1 DVD it will all fall into place. Its a gr8 show and u have to see it to belive it ( if i havent already convinced u!)

My kids got me started on Smallville and now we spend weekends watching the dvds. Tom Welling is soooo cute! My 12 year old daughter has a crush on him. I am impressed with the special effects in each episode. I was pleasantly surprised! I love the way they show Clark Kent as a young man and the way his character develops. I like the concept of watching him discover each one of his special powers. I enjoy seeing the "human" side of him as he struggles with high school crushes (on Lana) as well as try to keep his alien side a secret.....his strong values of what is right and wrong. His wonderful parents who teach him morals and values. I highly recommend collecting each season of Smallville as my family has.

I have never really liked Superman that much. Smallville changed all of that for me. Seeing the legendary hero as only a teenager makes him so much easier to relate to. There is so much character building involved with the series that you become deeply involved and just have to know how things come to be. Not only is the story great but the special effects are top notch even theater movie worthy. And there is always a huge cliffhanger at the end of the season to keep you coming for more. This is the best Superman in my opinion and will only get better with time. Great Work Warner Bros. Thanks for a great must see show!!!

If you're a fan of Superman and other super heroes then you'll love Smallville. You won't be disappointed!

Smallville is an excellent look into Clak Kent's beginning as Superman and follows the comics very well while adding a few twists. The episodes are easy to follow and good for kids and adults alike, even if you're not a big comic book fan. Season one does a great job of introducing each character, as well as Clarks powers one-by-one and how he is adapting to them. Some notables playing prominent roles in season one are Lex Luther and Lana Lang, both important in the comic books. Pete Ross is also a major part of the television series, though African-American in this version of the Superman tales.

Smallville is the best television series I have seen in over ten years! It has a little bit of something for everyone. This show is the story of Clark Kent's (pre-Super Man) days in Smallville as a young man struggling with daily conflicts like the rest of us. He just happens to have super powers to deal with also!

If you are not a Superman fan, no need to worry, Smallville will still have something for you! Smallville is almost an X-Men meets X-Files meets Dawson's Creek meets Superman! However, the quality of the graphics is much better! You will get movie quality storylines and graphics in each episode.

The first season is a must because it is of course the foundation for the other seasons. It also establishes some intense character relationships that carry through the rest of the show's seasons.

The final reason that I have to give Smallville a 5/5 rating is that on top of being one of the most interesting and creative shows I have seen in a very long time, Smallville is a show that you can actually watch with your teenagers and not get embarassed!

The only thing keeping this from being Excellent, was a few scratches that were not that bad. The box and container was in great shape.Buying from eBay has always been good. You need to know what it would cost to buy it new and make sure you don't over bid. always make sure you know how much all costs will be, check out to see if seller has alot of sells, and good points againist

It's very interesting to see who he lets in on his secret and who keep trying to figure him out. Also, there his relationships with his friends, especially girlfriends. The most interesting relationship is usually his relationship with Lana Lang. It's fun to watch and I believe it's good for all ages.

I love these DVD's. I had watched a few shows on television and got hooked.

Smallville is a great show that the whole family can set down and watch together. The cast is great and the writing for the show can’t be beat. Its cool to see how the characters mature and to see how they became the heroes / villains that we all know and love.

I have always enjoyed watching the Smallville show but when I moved, lost all chances of continuing the series. So I decided to purchase them so I can watch all of the seasons. Then will share them with others.

Not very good as comparing to later espisodes. But come on, you need to know what's going on at first right?

I love the thought of superman and whats even better is to have a hot superman. Smallville has some weird episodes but for the most part they are still worth watching. I would definitly recommend Smallville for anyone who wants action love story.

I bought this product because i like to watch shows. The product it self was not that upto good condition but the DVDs were all watchable so it was a good investment. I buy alot of items like this all the time.

Whats not to like about Smallville!!?? - If you love the show - you have to have the DVD's to watch it over and over again.

I have watched the show periodically - and NEVER saw the first season completely or knew how Clark came to Kansas! So...what better way to get it than on Ebay! - The sellers I have dealt with are great - sent me my product in the conditon it stated on the web. Now have all 4 season and currently are bidding on #5. Have to have it in time for season 6 - which starts soon!
