A charmingly unguided tale.
In the "City of Lost Children," a cantankerous fairy tale full of cunning villains, unspoken heroes, tragic plots, crooked teeth and hungry babies. Not only was this movie considered bizarre, but it provided a method of understanding of an entirely different culture. Though it is dubbed over, it still is worth the watch. Who could have known Ron Perlman could pull off a french accent? This movie was definitely worth the money spent, and was definitely one of the most creative movies I have seen all year. Since I had difficulty finding a copy in the stores, the internet seemed like the best alternative to me. Now, if you are not the kind who likes to ponder about a movie, cannot take weak chemistry between characters and despise any sense of fantastic reality, than this movie is not on your radar. If you seek to know more, watch this movie. I give it a solid 87 out of 100 and four out of five stars. Bon appetit!
