A Lil' Known Fact

For those of you not familiar with this game (as I was)...as a Shooter game it is very intense, you have to adapt to an aerial arena/combat style that is very different for an "old-school" dodge and shoot Scrolling shooter, enemies come at you from the 4 main compass headings (N,S,E,W) thus you need to be ready to "morph" your Dragon into 1 of 3 different styles (light, medium and heavy or look at it as: Fast, Average, and Slow) each has a role, you decide how to defeat an opponent. You will also need to be aware that there can be "Above and Below" enemies so keep your eyes peeled as the radar won't indicate this fact so I'm just warning you as the review I read gave this game high reviews, but to be honest...the most annoying fact left out is 99% of the game is spoken in Japanese and the subtitles scroll far to fast, you just basically react to ingame situations, there is very little time to enjoy the story and the game in unison. So for me I can't agree with the higher end reviews in the bigger picture and thus can't give the game more than a 6.5 at best out of 10.
The "Save System" is adequate at best during mission breaks, saving at a checkpoint still forced me to start the mission from the beginnig instead of at "that" particular check point would be the logical conclusion thus this issuse also degrades my overall approval of this game.
Good points for excellent graphics and in-game controls and I experienced no slow frame rates of glitching on my xbox360 system.
The negative points I found with the controls I'd class as ultra sensitive which forces you to use the "homing weapons" far more than I would prefer...Leading a target based on its flight-path and speed is more challenging then simply Button-mashing briefly for a target "lock-on" and firing.
By no means is this game a cakewalk as I was presented with more than enough challenges just learning the game on the lowest settings and if "low" is difficult for this 30yr + gamer, the average and harder difficulties will be basically impossible to defeat so take this review at your own risk.
I hope this wasn't to harsh of a review, but I have my "particular tastes" and warning the public of pertinent facts that should have been in the "reviews" I read is just how I feel about certain advertising aspects, it's up to you "the better informed public" to decide if this review was of any purchasing assistance or not.
