This is an excellent book! Anyone who wants to see a glimpse of heaven should get it! The author recounts his death in a horrific car accident and is pronounced dead at the scene. For 90 minutes, he goes to heaven and describes seeing relatives and friends, colors he has never seen before, music playing all over with different songs at the same time-yet not confusing or noisy, and pearlescent gates that go as high as he could see and as far as he could see. His friends and family looked as he remembered them, but their faces were without wrinkles, and they all looked happy and at peace. They came up and hugged him and told him how happy there were to see him. What joy and happiness he experienced! Because he had accepted Jesus as his Savior, he got a glimpse of heaven and what it will be like. He is certain that it wasn't a dream or a result of some brain trauma. The doctors can't believe that he lived through this wreck and had no internal trauma or brain damage. Remember, he was pronounced dead at the scene and had no medical attention for 90 minutes! The only reason he got help was that a friend arrived and asked the police officers if he could pray for the gentleman in the wreck. The officer said there is no use, as he is already dead. The man went anyway and prayed for him and started singing, "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" and the man in the wreck started singing with him! Of course he yelled to the emergency personnel that, "He's alive! He's alive!" They thought the guy was crazy, but after much insistance, decided to give him a second look. He says the reason he is alive today is because people prayed for him and God answered their prayers. He recounts his suffering and depression of wearing metal fixators on his arm and legs for over a year. He questions why God made him come back to earth. He was bedridden for over a year and could do nothing for himself. God taught him to let people serve him and endure through the pain. He still lives with pain today and will never again do the things he could do before the accident. Yet he knows his job on earth is not done as he has many more lives to touch with the truth of Jesus. He tells people about his journey to heaven and reassures them it is a real place! Believe in Jesus and experience the peace here on earth that you will see heaven someday! It is your choice! Fantastic book! Get it and pass it on!
