The 9 Steps to Financial Freedom by Sue Orman, Suze Orman (1997, Hardcover)

I picked up this book mostly out of curiosity. I've seen her on TV and heard about her everywhere else. So I thought to check the book out to see what she has to say. Once I started reading, Suze surprised me with the material that kept me reading until finishing the book! Some of the topics such as Will and Trust is good and she also wrote why we should have it. Other advices such as managing and where to put retirement funds are also helpful. For examples, it made very clear distinction between all the IRA accounts out there. I wasn't clear about the differences in IRA accounts until I read through the chapters.

I love the tips this book offers. It made me take a long, hard look at myself and my habits which are costing us a fortune!!!!!!!

it is a fantastic new way to look at you and your relationship to money. It frees you from the things that might be holding you back from being safe and secure and having the things that you want in your life. It is a good for all ages.

This book is well written and easy to read and understand. It gives you simple guidelines on saving, and investing. It also inspires you to think about money in a different way. I had seen Suze on television several times and always wanted to read her books. I am happy that I made the purchase and plan to keep the book in my collection and share it with others.

This book really helped me get out of a financial hole, make the right decisions and take the right actions, and get moving in the right direction. Suze Orman has been there. She knows what it's like to struggle, and she writes in a sympathetic, helpful style.

Liberal View. Suggests splinting up a 20 year marriage over a difficult financial situation. Dave Ramsey makes more sense if you have any morals at all!!

I hesitated buying a book from someone who had become so commercial about spewing personal financial advice. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I purchased the (well-priced) book to shore up some ailing financial strategies that were changing for me and to obtain some up-to-date information about personal financial planning strategies. Some of the information in this book is simple (like consider a trust instead of the traditional will that could cost your left-behinds serious money) and it offers reasonable reminders and collections of work that everyone should do (or be informed about) to remain financially aware and in control of their estates no matter the size now or in the future. This is a topic that goes very underdiscussed and the author writes in simple terms with can-do ways of taking care of personal financial business. It reads easily and I would suggest that it carries very valuable help and direction.
