Corpse Killer - Good and Corny.. but not without issues
Review created: 12/07/08

The game itself is great, good cornball acting and fun to play.... except for one problem.

The system itself has trouble loading all the data at once, and then the game seems "jumpy". I'm not sure if it would help, but you would probably want the non-32x version of this for smooth gameplay. The video may grainy, but at least it will play ok.

Corpse Killer (Sega 32X CD)-Better Off Dead?
Review created: 08/09/08

Stranded on an island populated with rampaging zombies, dying of voodoo poison, a mad genius in hot pursuit, hundreds of rotting dead coming to chew your guts-some of them your former buddies!

One cool thing about this game is that it has Full Motion Video (FMV). Unfortunately, what's supposed to be scary and gory comes off more as a comical "B" type horror movie. In addition, the side to side scrolling is choppy. There are only five Sega 32X CD games, so there is some value from a collector's standpoint.

The Birth of the 1st person shooter

Where do i start. This is the birth of the first person shooter. This game has you in first person mode but you can only move side to side and you basically just shoot everything in sight. i guess this game was OK for its time.

Why so many versions of a lame game???

Pros:
Actors that make you laugh, really intense shooting, and some good fun throughout.

Cons:
Unimpressive graphics, with a story that can get on some people's nerves.

What happened with Digital Pictures? That game developer never seemed to get the picture. The picture was that people didn't enjoy full motion video movies with a lackluster game painted around it. Digital Pictures made good with the "Make My Video" game allowing players to create their own music video. But now whenever I see that a game is made by Digital Pictures, I can expect a title that's going to feel like a movie more than a game. Well, Corpse Killer was almost different. It was FMV with arcade shooting involved. Now that's a little better. But once again, a fresh new idea got the...
