Family oriented, character driven TV show. Problems develop, even in the best of families. The problems are solved in the "old-fashioned" way, with God at the center of each decision. Good moral values are taught; dialog pulling at your heartstrings. A refreshing show that anyone can watch.

This is such a great show about the intricacies of the family dynamic especially as it pertains to a family that can not stop being invo0lved in everyone else's business. The show is by turns smarmy, sappy, sticky, sweet, righteous, self-righteous, moralizing, exciting, and holy. But it is a sort of good clean family fun entertainment that television lacks in these sordid times.

Definitely a must buy.

I just finished all of the season and absolutely loved it. I was disappointed that there was not more. I can’t wait till I can get the second season. I would recommend this to anybody looking for something uplifting, with good morals, and entertaining.

My daughters like this series and when I saw it on Ebay at such a great price, I just had to get it for them. It arrived in great condition and I am glad to have gotten it.

If you are looking into buying this DVD set, you are probably familiar with the television program that has been running for the last 11 years. What I appreciate about the program is the struggles that are real and the characters who are varied. The family faces problems and although the father is a minister, there is not a "churchy" unrealness. God is honored, family is valued and children and adults make mistakes and learn how to deal with consequences. The values are wonderful - I wish there were other programs like this one.

Bought this for Christmas for my daughter. She was thrilled as it is one of her very favorite shows.

this is the 1st season for the best show i have ever watched on tv, very wholesome, great for families, no violence, sex or nudity. definitely recommend this show for what it is and what it isn't. it's basically about real life and sitations families deal with on daily basis.
