Anxiety and Panic Attacks by Robert Handly

I bought "Anxiety and Panic Attacks" by Robert Handly for my sister who seems to become so helpless every time she has a "panic attack"...I've sent the book over to her in India, and await her feedback on whether the book helped her or not. But, I read the book myself before sending it and found its self-help program very well spelt-out.Handly's approach is simple, his method for overcoming the problem is clear-cut, therefore good. The fact that the author is not a doctor outlining steps toward a cure, but himself an ex-panic attack sufferer would help others with the same condition identify more readily and therefore be more willing than skeptical in giving his self-help program a chance (in the end toward their own cure !). However, Robert Handly addresses only the condition called "Agorophobia", and the general, sweeping title of the book is misleading for I bought it in the hope that the book covers all forms of "anxiety and panic attacks" which it does not. It still is a helpful book and perhaps the self-curative exercises in it would help all across the board panic attack sufferers.
