Exactly what I was Looking For
Review created: 02/10/10

The Good:
The blackjack is just a beautiful phone. Very slim for a smart phone of its time. The screen is large and bright. All of the side buttons are easy to get to and I have no trouble with hitting them accidentally. The keyboard is absolutely perfect. Nice responsive keys that you can feel "click" when you push them. MicroSD port is located on the side rather than under the battery, which I have seen with a lot of smart phones of this generation. All special function keys are clearly marked and easy to get to.

The Bad:
Not much to say here. The volume buttons on the left side are a little sensitive. I've found myself adjusting the volume while taking the phone out of my pocket. The MicroSD card is VERY difficult to eject. I don't plan on removing it that often, so not a big deal for me. The camera and speaker on the back of the phone protrude a bit. Functionally, this causes no problem, just looks a little odd.

Notes on Windows Mobile:
After flashing to AT&T's Windows Mobile 6, I find that several important programs got buried in the menus. If you haven't used WM before, when you access anything on the phone, it runs a process that does not close when you close the program. You MUST close theses processes regularly or your phone will slow done and eventually lock up! To end them, you have to go to the task manager. WM6 flash buried the task manager 4 levels down! The organizer, which contains the alarm, is buried 3 levels down with three sub menus! These are just rants on WM6; its not going to change, so we just have to get used to it. (May also just be AT&T's version of WM6, I don't have any experience with other carriers.)

Summary:
If you work in an office that uses Microsoft Exchange you want a Windows Mobile based phone. With Exchange automatically supporting WM for email access, why go with something like Blackberry that requires another server to play middle-man? If you are looking for a phone to connect to your office email and you don't want to spend a lot of money on the handset, this is the phone for you! Aside from the minor annoyances listed, it is a well-designed functional smart phone. Opinions will obviously vary, but the Samsung Blackjack is perfect for me!

A bit out of date but still has the goods.
Review created: 06/28/10

Pros:
-Windows Media Player (Plays Mp3s, Videos)
-Full QWERTY keyboard.
-3G
-SD Card Slot
-Multi-tasking

Cons:
-Not touch screen
-Max SD card is 2GB
-Keys are not spaced enough.
-No touch screen
-Screen is small.

In all honestly, I like this phone. It's pretty good phone if you're not too intense with it. Texting fanatics are perfect for the phone because you can listen to music also while doing your thing.

  Great!
Review created: 02/09/10

I bought two of these Blackjack i607 phones, one for myself and one for my girlfriend. I bought them because I had originally had one from at&t but because of various things from abuse at work to just plain old clumsiness it just started to mess up on me. I don't blame the phone though, just my own lack of care. So I was using an old phone for awhile when I decided I wanted the Blackjack back, so I came here to eBay, won two auctions and got two practically new Blackjacks! I kept one and gave the other to my girlfriend as a Christmas present. They are both great phones, neither of them has given us any troubles, if I had to do it all over again I would buy another blackjack. Overall, we are completely satisfied and recommend that if anyone is looking for a slightly older phone that is also very dependable and PDA Smart phone capable, this is the way to go! Enjoy!

  good phone
Review created: 01/07/10

I bought the samsung sgh i607 blackjack three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 1M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hourst .

Good cheap 2nd hand smartphone option
Review created: 02/11/10

Like new Windows Mobile 6 which can install on this device. Device is cheap compared to other 2nd hand smartphones. QWERTY keyboard is a must have for texting.

  Good phone, never an issue
Review created: 02/07/10

Nice phone. Older but good. Picks up signal and has a lot of the features that many BlackJack 2's do. I like how it has a scroll wheel on it, although its on the side it still comes in handy. Its like a mini computer in my pocket. I love the BlackJacks second to BlackBerrys but as an older phone goes, these are worth it! Gets signal where my other phones never would!

  Decent Phone
Review created: 02/05/10

I like the phone very much. It meets my basic needs, which is ease in making calls and a full keyboard for texting.

What I don't dislike is an apparent flaw (loose socket) which is making it very hard to charge my battery. I have to jostle the car charger to get it to work, and I can't get the wall charger to work at all. Perhaps it's just this one phone..

  Great Phone
Review created: 12/27/09

This phone is a little older than some of the other smart phones available. For the price, it is a great deal. I basically purchased the phone for the use of a full key board, but it has so many great features. Although I haven't tried this yet, It can be synced with outlook.Overall, it is just a pretty good phone.

  SAMSUNG BLACKJACK I607
Review created: 12/21/09

THE SAMSUNG BLACKJACK WAS USED, BUT ARRIVED IN THE BOX WITH ALL THE ACCESSORIES AND LOOKED LIKE IT WAS BRAND NEW. MY GRANDDAUGHTER HAD A BLACKJACK A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AND LOVED IT. HOWEVER, WE WERE UNABLE TO GET A NEW ONE BECAUSE IT HAD BEEN DISCONTINUED AND WE HAD TO SETTLE FOR AN LG, WHICH SHE DETESTED. FORTUNATELY, WE FOUND THIS ONE AND SHE COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED. SAMSUNG ROCKS!

  Excellent Rock Solid Phone
Review created: 11/05/09
1 of 2 people found this review helpful.

My gf and I have owned this phone for 2.5 years and it has lasted us both and is withstanding the test of time! If you are looking for solid phone that will stand the abuse a teenager puts on their phone, then this is the one. I purchased this phone for my sister who keeps asking me to fix her phone. She had a blackberry and she broke the USB connector. I resoldered that one but it still broke. I got her an older LG flip phone but she broke that in half. I'm going to give this to her to see how this holds up and I dont have a doubt that it will hold up well.

  Good PDA Phone
Review created: 01/08/10

I bought this phone for the PDA feature. The reception is not as good as my old (non-PDA) phone, but the calendar feature is very importatnt to me. It is very easy to access the calendar and set new appointments. The only thing I would like better is if it would list more upcoming appointments on the start up screen. It only shows the next one and only if it is the next day or sooner.

  A good man's work phone!!!
Review created: 12/18/09

My fiance has had this phone for over 2 years now. He swears by it. The phone is very durable and very well made. He's never had a problem with it at all. I just recently purchased him another one for Christmas cause he needed a "Cosmetic" replacement as he would put it. FYI if going to keep this phone in a pocket for a majority of it's life time invest in a clear screen protector and a case for it. The button numbers and letter seem to wear off over time and the screen does scratch. But overall this is a fantastic phone for example I have had 3 different phones in the same time period he has had his and all 3 of mine have putts out on me in one way or another and other than cosmetic wear his is still going strong. Awesome battery life as well. Overall if you want a great phone this is the one to get.

This phone is junk, locked up and won't come on even though it has a full battery. The phone was suppose to be unlocked but it isn't. Don't bother if your T-Mobile cause it won't work.

Seller left a lot of personal info on the phone and I had to upgrade the firmware. Phone was not unlocked as advertised, but I can fix that easily. Wanted to see how the phone worked. Impressed by the thin size. Don't like the keyboard..

  Excellent, hardy phone!

It's been dropped, left outside on top of a car overnight, and pounded on by a toddler over the course of 2 years... and it still works like a charm! Great features and overall use is a breeze! Would be a great phone for someone who is younger. The only problem is that if you use the bigger battery (with the expanded cover) and you drop the phone, the cover and the battery are going to come off... but if you use the original cover and slim battery, you'll be fine! The original battery and cover fit rather snugly... enjoy!

Great phone, great features, great condition
Review created: 02/03/10

The phone was received in perfect condition, it didn't work straight out on a foreign network, but the problem was easily resolved.

It's small, yet powerful, and also affordable. It's easy to use and contains a lot of useful features, such as ActiveSync, HSDPA, etc.

The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan . My only complaint is that the menu address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.
