Shrek The Halls (DVD, 2008)

We bought this movie because our grandchildren live with us and they have enjoyed all Shrek movies to date. This "movie" is more of a cartoon, only about 25 minutes or so long. Shrek and Fiona have been married for a little while with their triplets; Donkey stops by to encourage Shrek to get ready for Christmas and Shrek never heard of Christmas, never celebrated it before, etc., but makes a valiant effort to learn about it (at the last minute gets a book on Christmas Eve and tries to apply this information). Plot is basically that all friends (or "family") like Donkey, Pinocchio, Gingerbread people, pigs, etc. show up and Shrek is upset that they are messing up his plans for his "family", then Fiona expresses her disappointment at Shrek. Has happy ending, some decent values communicated, some good humorous moments. Disappointed in length of the film, but it is typical Shrek characters, true to form, so keep that in mind if you are considering this film.

I bought this because the "shrek" movies are good movies. I was disappointed to know that it is only 20 minutes long and all the characters come over to shreks for christmas. BORING. If you can find this one for 1 or 2 dollars maybe. Do not spend the $13.00 I did. Its not even a movie. HOPE THIS HELPS.

Stop. This 'DVD' is only 22 minutes long. A few cute minutes, but obviously a money grab for the makers of Shrek. Kids were sitting there wondering if it was a bad/broken DVD because it ended so quick.
Money best spent elsewhere.....

Very cute movie for the kids!!!!! It's only about a half hour long but a great Christmas movie!!!!! It also is very funny just like the rest of the Shrek movies!!!!!!!!!

Although it is a short video, it is a very entertaining video. We love the Shrek series and this one is just as good as the others. It will now be a Christmas essential for our family.

MY 11 AND 13 YR. OLD KIDS SAT GLUED TO THE SCREEN FROM BEGINNING TO END...A CUTE LITTLE ENTERTAINING FLICK; BUT, COULD HAVE BEEN ACCOMPLISHED WITH A LITTLE LESS VIOLENCE IN IT.

Great addition to the Shrek Collection, and a great new movie to add to your holiday collection,we have the whole set, it is a great movie for any age, we watched them over and over.

I bought this for myself and my children. We seen it on TV last year and we knew right then we had to get it. As with all of the Shrek's movies, then are funny and loved by all. I approve for any one at any age :)

I bought it for my grandson Daniel for a christmas present. he loves shrek and he was so excited about the movie when he saw it. He's already watched several times he really enjoys the movie Shrek The halls.

To bad I didn't think about it's a US dvd, say having problem to play it here in holland. haha, I will get it working.

Maybe this short film was meant for a feature film. You know at the end of a film while the credits are rolling. Wow! Very very short. No bathroom breaks allowed! Classified as a "Movie Trailer"

I bought this dvd for my 2 year-old toddler who loves shrek and it was just perfect watching this movie so close to the holidays and also a great addition to our Shrek movie collection!I love it! I also liked that it had audio in french and spanish, perfect for our relatives across the border!

I caught this by chance as a ABC holiday special, and my 3 year old son loved it so much, he started asking to watch "Shrek Santa" again and again. I just bought it and we have already watched it at least a dozen times and I have to say - it is very entertaining with plenty of music and the same great animation that you have come to expect from the Shrek franchise. Plus, coming in at a little over 20 minutes, it flies by.

Additionally, the DVD comes with 2 Penguin sing-alongs based on the short "Penguin Christmas Caper" which was included on the Madagascar DVD - and although he can't quite keep up with the singing, he loves their takes on Deck the Halls and the 12 Days of Christmas! I highly recommend this DVD!

It's an all right movie or short really. It's only about 20 someodd minutes long. Price could be cheaper for how short it is but overall it's a good watch. My daughter loves it. She has all the Shrek movies and having a Christmas tale out make it wonderful for her. Adult wise, it's probably not going to be a thriller among most. More like a once a years thing around the holidays. They could have made it longer by adding more to the story line and make it into an actual movie so people would want to view it more often but all in all it's a wonderful show for kids especially if they like the movies.

We watch this all Christmas Season! Many laughs, great for children of all ages! Shrek,no matter which movie, is always a hit with the adults, and children.
