This is a very unique fantasy novel. The world it is set in is not full of dragons and knights. It is a story of artists with their own unique form of magic. It is a story unlike any I have read before. If you are looking for a different kind of fantasy experience then you need to read this book. The Golden Key give you a fresh new experience not easily found anymore. The only dissapointing thing is the difficulty the authors are having in producing a sequel, but the novel does stand well on it's own.
