I bought this fax machine when I was just starting up my business and needed to send faxes once in a while.

It worked most of the time, but I always found myself running to get more fax paper. The feeder would get stuck sometimes so I'd have to monitor all faxes. It doesn't have a tray for once the fax comes through either, so if you buy it make sure it's set up somewhere that a fax will set safely after coming in. Otherwise, if you get a fax while you're out it may have fallen on the floor or behind a desk or something only to get lost.

I would recommend this one to someone who doesn't often use faxes and doesn't anticipate an increase in the amount of faxes in the future. It is a decent price for a small home office. Once I started increasing the amount of faxes sent and received - this machine became more trouble than it was worth. It was much more economical to buy a higher end scan/fax with a tray and a feeder.

Considering I got this fax machine brand new for $30 including shipping, I can't really say anything bad about it. I only got it to send faxes with, and it works great. It has 4 send quality modes and even on the lowest quality setting, the received faxes look very clear. It isn't a super sturdy high end machine, so it probably wouldn't be good for a high use office environment, more for light home use. It was really easy to set up and has lots of cool features. Like I said, for the price, it can't be beat.

Our previous FAX machine was old and was at the point where it would send but did not receive. We retired it and decided to do without a FAX. Then I happened to see this one, it looked like just what would be the size and type we would need for our home. I don all the advertising for my church for their dinners, etc. fund raisers and I really need a FAX machine for this purple and from time to tome my husband, as a Pastor, needs to forward material to other pastors. Anyhow, the price was phenomenal, the item is superb, easy to use and gave us another phone. I thank this company for providing exceptional products at reasonable prices. I bought this on the spur of the moment because I was sick of people saying "can you fax that, cause our email....(sucks, blows, doesn't work, we're all dumb). So, this little thingy is great. Easy to set up. Uses plain paper. The thermal cartridge is easy to find & replace at a low cost. It's a great little printer, it has caller id and stores fax receipt info. For an easy fax machine that won't crash your network; this little plug and play machine is great. Plus, if you need quick copies in a pinch...this is fast & easy. Makes a great gift for Mom or Granma too!

The Brother FAX 575 is a compact fax plain paper fax. It is small yet durable. The print quality is good and I absolutely like speed of reception and sending of faxes.

I was looking for a good quality fax machine for my home office to allow me to more easily take care of various tasks. This machine provides just what I was looking for in a fax machine for occasional, personal use and the seller was top notch. The fax machine arrived within one week after I purchased it. Two days after the fax machine arrived the second thermal cartridge arrived giving me longer use of this fax machine before worrying about having to find another thermal refill.

This is the 2nd Brother fax that I have bought and I like that this one is more compact. I haven't used it yet, but I hope it's as good. I do use the phone I can hear great. There are numerous functions that will be helpful, such as one-touch dialing or speed dial. The price was well worth it.

This is a good fax machine for home / office work, for moderate use, the price is good quality/value wise.made some photo copy with it and they where clear and fine. The ink cartrige for this fax machine is not expensive on Ebay, so generaly speaking, this item is a good buy and I am very satisfied.

I bought this FAX to replace a used bulky, ink-eating heavy-duty FAX machine. I do only 5-10 Faxes a month.

Pros: Inexpensive to buy, uses FAX film cartridge (shelf life up to 2 years), easy to operate

Cons: Lightweight-easy to break plastic, no tray for faxes received

Overall, I highly recommend this fax for light duty use.

I never had a use for a fax machine until I needed to buy one for maybe one time use. I looked around and found this one which was almost as cheap as sending them from a store. After I purchased it. set it up and used it, all of a sudden there was more and more uses for it and pretty soon it paid for itself. It works like a charm sends and receives real good clear faxes and so far no problems.
In my estimation this is a good product

it is very easy to use and change resolutions and light and dark.it also sends you a note telling you if the message went all the way thru or not.it will even tell you if there was a problem with a certain page that you send.i have no faxes coming in .but it is a very good machine.

I bought a Brother fax machine for my elderly Mom who uses it to make copies. The price was half of that in stores. You cannot beat the prices!

I like the fax machine, it is small and compact exactly what I wanted. I just needed a fax nothing big and this was perfect. I just sent a test page and it was received but have not had someone send one back yet.

I needed something small, lightweight and portable to carry with me to job sites.
This fills the bill. I have always liked Brother quality and service and this was very reasonalbe in price and perfect in size.

There is nothing about this fax machine I dislike. This fax machine has a very detailed manual for setting it up, troubleshooting, and any other issues that may come up. It is very easy to operate and does not take up the space like other fax machines I have had in the past. Refills for the ink on eBay are very reasonably priced.
Brother however needs to reply to all registration faxes it receives. The bottom line here is to maybe mail the registration form in certified return receipt requested, priority with signature confirmation, or register on their website.

This is a great, compact fax machine for the user who may have a small office at home. Not a bulky machine that takes up too much space and this model is very easy to set up with the provided instructions. I decided to purchase this unit for the price it was being auctioned at which was a great bargain compared to the retail outlets.
