This movie was not to appealing but I decided to rent it anyway. This movie is funny slapstick and pokes at 300. If you truley like 300 this will be insulting to you. This is similar to Epic movie and if you enjoy these montage films that emulate other movies, Go for it.

This one is neither good or funny....

Created after 300 this one lacks any real humor even the Britney seen is pitiful....
It would be hard to create humor using the fight seens so many a little more wity banter would have made this flick at least bearable.

Overall a pretty big waste of time.

I have never laughed so hard. The parodies in this movie are bar none some of the best as far as comedy movies go. I was a big fan of the scary movies but was dissapointed by epic movie. This movie made up for the last flop. I would recommend anyone to watch this movie at least once. I decided to buy this movie after watching a few clips on you tube and figured it would be well worth the money to pay for owning it.

Movie was funny . . . a really fun time! I would recomend it for those who need a chuckle in their lives.

Some spoofs are great, others suck - point blank. Meet The Spartans is one of those spoofs we could have done without. Corny punchlines and jokes throughout, I literally fell asleep before the ending. There were more homosexuality jokes than anything in this film, and after a while it became a bit sickening. Dont buy this movie! I wouldnt even rent it, but proceed at your own risk.

So what if this was a sick and twisted parody. Some of the humor was just plain horrible, but that's what parody is. This film was directed and produced by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. The covers tells us all to fight back tears of laughter watching this Unrated Pit-Of-Death Edition. This film touts now 300 times more outrageous then before. The film cracks fun at their rag-tag team of 13 Warriors to defend their homeland against the invading Persians, whose Ranks include impersonations of themes like Ghost Rider, Rocky Balboa, the Transformers, Britney Spears, and a completely messed up hunchbacked version of Paris Hilton!

Meet the Spartans pokes total fun of a real movie in a totally disrespectful way. The main theme of the film seemed to be to poke fun of the men and their effeminate natures. The skipping into battle and men scantily clothed in nothing but leather underwear opens this subject up to total reinvention.

Almost everything in film now for private home viewing on DVD (Unrated or otherwise) is going for political incorrectness, since our society is still hanging on to a small whiff of freedom left in or near the home (but not in the workplace). What else in the world would life be like if there wasn't anything funny or stupid to poke fun of. Of course, there is nothing fun about warring losers, so to poke fun at the Spartans seems the next best thing to do, since they eventually got defeated for being so brave.

The first part of the film was the funniest with the initial parodies of the child rearing preferences of the Spartans. The American Idol thing was just a little off the deep end as well as the segments of Britney Spears. Carmen Electra was the main thing that held this film together. The dust buster segment with the Spiderman 3 spoof was just fantastic.

I'm going to give this film a 4/5 for it's totally irreverent, sick parody of such a fine film as "300". I'll definitely have to catch this one again with someone who appreciates this type of humor again in the future.

As far as spoof movies go it was pretty good. Finding all of the places where different companies has their name or their name was said got interesting. The comedy factor was fabulous. Our 11 yr old enjoyed it the most.

Better than what I was expecting. There are some real funny moments in addition to the old gross moments that seem to accompany these parodies anymore. I love the pit of death and the song they break out into later. I'd reccomend it to at least try once and see if you like it.

if you like over the edge dumb movies that poke fun at everything possible, you will love this movie! It gets better each time i watch it!!!!!! If your not into stupid comedy you will hate it!

This movie is okay, it is not great and it actually isn't very funny. It looks better in the commercials than it actually is. I bought it because I thought it would be much better but boy was I wrong from the 300 spoofs to american idol spoofs this one did not have me rolling down on the floor with laughter. If you are in the mood for one of these types of movies I would go to the scary movie franchise.

Seller withheld information on item listed. Falsely advertised with inaccurate photo. I Tried to settle and resolve the problem with the seller. Here is a copy of the message I sent them and their response.

it IS brand new. I never watched it and I never had the case on it. My supplier never gives them to me. It is the buyers responsiblity to ask questions. I never stated it was in the original case with original artwork.
Didn't anyone ever tell you that you can catch more flies with honey than with (in this case) threats?

Sad to see a GREAT movie like 300 get ripped off like this! I think I only laughed once throughout the whole film. Very campy acting, even worse cast. I guess as long as you like Carmen it's worth the time otherwise forget it. Save your money and buy her workout videos, you'll be happier!
