Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes - Complete Season 1 (DVD, 2009, 3-Disc Set; Movie Cash)

I had caught a few of these episodes when it originally aired on TV, but they did a lousy job of promoting the series, and they moved the times around a lot so my DVR missed many of the episodes.

I was more than pleasantly surprised with the full run of the series. It didn't last long on TV, which now appears to be a real shame. This show was much better than it's short run on the air would lead you to believe.

If you are interested in the series, this is the set to buy as it includes 9 unaired episodes!

I would recommend to any fan of the FF, action cartoons or comics.

Everything I wanted, all of the episodes all together. Not sure if they're in order, but I still watch them.

If you're scarred to buy this, thinking it's too much of a kiddie show...you're wrong. I mean, there's no sex, or curse words in it, but the feel of the show isn't that bubblie type of Saturday morning tv show if you know what I mean. The animation in the show is AMAZING. It seems like it's on the edge of being a full on anime show. The stories are great. I don't collect the comics, but it seems like it's pretty faithful to the comics...but then again I'm not too sure about that one. This is definitely a must have for any comic book fan! There's guest appearances like She-Hulk, Ironman, and the Hulk! AND plus with this whole season, you get 9, never-aired in the states, episodes.

Containing all of the episodes, and in their proper order no less, I have to say this was probably my favorite dvd purchase all year. The packaging alone was worth the purchase, especially after I've recieved so many animation boxed sets where the dvd's are overlapping and everything has potential to be damaged easily. There was even room for a mini copy of Ultimate Fantastic Four # 1.

The show may not be everyone's cup of tea but I'm glad I took a chance after dismissing it earlier. There were so many great episodes that I missed or that Cartoon Network flat out didn't show, and being able to watch it how the animators meant for us to watch it really created a different experience for me. If you're a fan of the show and don't own this specific set, you're really missing out.
