There are many publications that deal with fire arm values but The Blue Book of Gun Values more closely matches the value of the weapon, even with recognized differences between reagions. Other publications focus on pictures to guide the user and others provide a more comprehensive list of serial numbers to identify the age of a weapon. I would like to see the Lue Book maintain it's structure, forget about the pictures but expand the serial number references to guide the user.

It covers most all guns, in one book. It is very informative. As always when collecting anything it is nice to have all the information available.

We had an old edition of this book and wanted a more current edition. My search of Ebay found the book we wanted at a good price and with free shipping. We have been very happy with this purchase.

I've had several editions of this book. It is the most authoratative on the market. It has excellent color photographs for judging firearm conditions.

This book is absolutely essential for anyone in the firearms business. There are many books available for evaluating firearms. This is the most comprehensive, and is the most used by the professionals.

This is the "gun bible" a must have, shame Ebay caved in to the nazi's of the left and won't allow hardly any gun parts anymore.

We are gun enthusiasts, collectors and have several older issues of the "Blue Book of Gun Values". We bought the book because we wanted a newer issue to keep up with current values. This book is very accurate and discriptive, and it was in exellent condition. A new issue is published every year and we will continue to buy newer issues.

This was a great group to work with. They shiped it out and I had it fast thank you. There was no problems with anything no dislikes. I needed an updated book.

the book is more less for the high dollar collector! does not show serial numbers as they should be (for the beginner) This book is a rip off!!!

If you have any guns from the Civil War to the present day Sigs and Glocks, this is the Gun Book to own. There is not one piece of info that is not in this book. From manufacturing to serialzation this book has it all to offer. It has been a staple from my Granfather, to my Dad and now me. Buy it!

The Blue Book of Gun Values is one of the most widely accepted books on the value of firearms. There are still some gaps in its listings and other information, but at 2176 pages, you can imagine there are not many. In addition, there are sections on how to grade the condition of a firearm.
The largest gaps are in categories such as air rifles and pistols, black powder rifles and pistols and antiques. One of my few complaints about this is how thin the paper is, but at the number of pages, if they were regular thickness, it would have to be in multiple books.

In summary, I highly recommend this book to anyone that is interested in buying, selling or estimating the value of firearms.

I have always trusted the pricing of the blue book I have used it for 15 years and update every 2 years with a new one, they are on the money and updated accurate with the winchester prices although iver johnson and stevens guns are priced way lower than what they actually sel for. Colt is on the money

I believe this is the most accurate method of estimating firearm values. As an FFL, I use this all of the time as a guide and reference.
