Dressage With Kyra by Jytte Lemkow, Kyra Kyrklund (1998, Hardcover)

It's well illustrated and well written. It's not full of dressage jargon and I really like the way exercises are explained. Kyra makes riding simple by taking everything back to basics and using her "ABC". It's helping me lots with my youngster and I'm actually a show jumper.
A friend who is a dressage trainer recommended this book and I can't thank her enough!

She is just and awesome rider and teacher what a book to enjoy and always learn from Thanks Kyra Kyrklund I lost this book with a very bad divorce and just had to get it again,, it act helps me with my own teaching.... Its great incredible illustrations and teachings..

Very easy to read/understand. Kyra Kyrklund did a great job in covering many things and not talking/writing "over my head". My students are now fighting over who gets to read it. They all seem to be enjoying it.

I loved that Kyra thinks outside the box. She doesn't go for the way everyone else does things, she develops her own tried and true way that works for her! I was impressed by the last photo in the book where she and the horse are completely "not going by the book" and are having some problems. I appreciated this because we often think it is just us who has difficulties. But seeing that helped me to realize even champions have a hard moment every once in awhile.

I chose to buy this book primarily because she trained Andreas Helgstrand, and quite frankly he and Blu Hors Matinae are my HEROS!
