One the first WWII movies I ever watched so it is an early favorite. All the subplots are present especially the multi-national squadron interaction. Unfortunately, the opportunity to play out the Wg Cdr Grant Eagle Squadron story was missed. Good "stock" entertainment. Two interesting connections - did you recognize John Meillon (Crocodile Dundee) as Flt Lt Gillibrand? And of course, as you watched the bombing runs in the fjord ... was "the Force with you?"

This is a favorite movie from many years ago. The copy I received was well packed and quickly arrived in perfect condition.

I am now retired from the world of full size aviation, so obtaining copies of movies from that era keeps a lot of the long ago times fresh in my mind.

  633 Squadron (2003, DVD)
Review created: 12/06/08

I saw this movie MANY years ago on AMC before they started messing up the network with commercials. This movie graphically portrays the struggle that normal people go through in times of war where they will be taken from their routine day to day life and become immersed in a project of their own design or in concert with others. It is a movie that is without the fancy technical special effects that we have today but it has no trouble showing the immense task that the British undertook during the Second World War.

This movie is an outstanding product made by the Hollywood of yesteryear. I am confident that with all of the technical gadgets and special effects that they enjoy today, they are no longer capable of making movies this good.

This movie is a rather cheesy love story set during WW2. The acting is second rate as is the script. The model airplanes used to simulate the burning Mosquitoes are really obvious by today's standards and detract from the action sequences. About the only good thing about the flick is that there is plenty of good footage of the real aircraft in action as well. Overall this movie rates a D+ at best. I've watched it once and will most likely shelve it.

For me, too, this was my introduction as a youngster to the DeHavilland Mosquito. The fact that they were able to find 3 actual flying Mossies makes the film worthwhile for me. If you love WWII flying history, you need to get this one.

This one of the war movies I watched when I was younger. It was my introdution to the DeHavilland Mosquito. The flying scenes are neat, even though you can tell some are models.I have always loved the upbeat musical score, and still hum it to myself.Cliff Robertson fits the roll, following up from "PT-109".
I recomend it for the war movies of this time period.

I am a limited Ebay user, but when I do buy/win at the auctions I expect to receive the item which I pay for. This CD I used the Pay Now option for I was replacing it for A retired Pastor friend. I did not receive the CD. So this has made me upset/disappointed in this case. I still Ebay.
