Motorola W490 (T-Mobile)

I love this phone. I may seem biased because I am a Motorola fan,but this phone is cool. It's slightly thicker than a Razr but makes it good for gripping it tight, and it's slimmer than the razr so it's compact.

It comes with tons of cool features, has a bright screen, and you can even save money on downloads thanks to the memory card slot. It can hook up to your computer and had bluetooth capabilities.

The music player is cool too, but I don't really like it all like that because you can't do anything else while you are listening to music, just listen to music.

I also LOVE the voice operating system it has. I didn't have to train it whatsoever, and it works fine! Great phone!

T-Mobile talked me into trying the MyFav plan so I had to buy new phones. I had had Krzr K1's and loved them, but the w490 does everything they did and they look and feel just as cool. It plays every kind of movie, music and photo file I can throw at it beautifully. The USB connection allows me to access the microSB memory chip from my computer without removing it from the phone or using a reader. The microSB is also hot swappable. All in all a great phone, even comes in "PURPLE" if you can find one.

Pros:
Like the design and functionality. Nice bright and crisp LCD screen. Good reception and excellent call quality. Haven't dropped a single call so far. Takes Micro SD cards and can be connected to PC for data transfer whiteout a problems. Plays MP3 ring tones and Java applications and games. Long Battery life. The whole phone feels very solid and well built. Great value.

Cons:
Ring tones could be louder. In a loud room I have missed a few calls..
Not very fast (But I'm not into texting so I don't mind that). I was a little disappointed with the camera - probably expected too much from 1.3 mega pixels.

Conclusion:
I have several Motorola phone, this has become my favorite.

I decided to buy not one, but two of these phones, one for myself and one for my mom. They are great phones. I only have one complaint- when you miss a call, it doesn't show up the call time. Other than that, I love it.

I bought this phone to replace a Motorola 360 that was showing signs of use. The 490 is really good for me as it is a little smaller, has a better camera and is more rugged than the razor as I'm tough on phones. The battery life is also great.

I like this phone mainly because my wife liked it. Got to keep the ladies happy and she just loves the green color of the phone. I bought it for her because the dog ate her other cell phone and I did not purchase insurance on it, so she had to have another phone. We have tmoble with my faves and this phone fit the bill. She liked the looks of it and I like it because it is similar to my motoactive phone, so I know how to work the features on it. Plus it uses the same charger as all my other phones. With the price of new phones the economical way to purchase a good used phone is on ebay.

I purchased the phone for my daughter. This is the phone she wanted to buy and we liked the price of the phone offered on ebay.

This phone does everything I want it to do. Receive and place calls, send and receive text messages etc. Compact, easy to put in pocket or in holder on belt. Hard to find accessories for it at name brand stores that are specifically for this phone, but most (not all) Razor products seem to work. The only complaint I have is when texting everytime you hit a key the phone makes a sound like it's dialing. The only way I've been able to stop that, is to place the phone on silent and it won't make that sound.

I found Motorola's new W490, to be everything I've looked for in a small form factor. it is simplicity in a very functional package that is easy to use, looks tremendously expensive, yet easy on the pocketbook.
Motorola has outdone itself with this cellphone with its SD memory slot, 1.3 Megapixal/8x zoom camera system, MP3 player and video movie system built into it.
In my line of work with construction, the phone is easy to use via it's built in bluetooth connection. It's slim enough to tuck away in a case or place into my pocket and go about my work all day without having to pick it up with work gloves. But best of all...it's easy to program via the built in settings menu.
For those who are looking for a slim yet sturdy cellphone that is simple to use yet has more features then most people would think of ever using, I suggest giving the new W490 a first, second and even a third look....before buying. Eveytime you look at it, you find something new and exciting about it.

Brand new w490 love it. I bought the w490 motorola weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 1.3-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours.

I had to purchase this phone becasue my Samsung phone died in 9 months, and their service is very dissapointing. In the past I have had Motorola, Nokia and Samsung phones. In the many years that I have used cell phones, I still come back to Motorloa due to their dependability and durability. Nokia is not too bad but Samsung products have been the worst.

A friend of ours has this phone and he recieves better service then we do. My husband would have to barrow his phone out on location wehnever his wouldn't get out. Thank you for a easy and plesant transation. I would use you again if there is anything I need. Thanks Regina

Great features at a affordable price. User friendly and excellent battery life. Have had good luck with Motorola products in the past so decided to purchase brand again.

I like all of this phone. It is excellent and no complaint. I had others phones before this better than any.

My son is very happy with his new phone. He'd had several others by a different manufacturer and all had the same issues within a very short period of time after receiving them. I've carried Motorola equipment for years and swear by their product. We looked for hours and finally settled on this one. The price was great and he is very please with the quality of service this product is giving him. Yeah Ebay!

i bought it bc mine got ruined and i liked the phone so i didnt want to buy anything different i just didnt like the fact that the pakage was address to me and no one else at my house could sign for it

very good phone and handy to use. Any one can easy to use and not much expensive. Crystal clear sound and no static also battery lasting also so far good. Good phone and recomended to buy.

I like this phone because it is light and slim and most of all it is a great phone at a lower cost. Most common features that are needed are here. I am planning to buy more for my aunt and cousin.

Had same phone from T-Mobile that finally broke after 3 years. Bought this phone, took 2 weeks for delivery. Not happy with it for 2 reasons: 1) All Texting is T9 and cannot be changed to other texting options??? So it is basically useless for texting and saving phone numbers. 2) Battery charger port cover is not attached and is already lost. Do not buy these phones from overseas!!!

I love the phone! It was just what I expected. It came with no manual but I emailed the Motorola co. and got it downloaded. The S&H was pricey.

Phone worked for 1 month, sent email to seller THAT THE PHONE DID NOT WORK ANYMORE,SELLER DID NOT RESPOND. I HAVE TO TAKE A LOSS ON THIS ONE, WILL NEVER BUY FROM SELLER.

My son loves his phone. He uses it everyday. The phone came with several ring tones. It had a couple of scratches but not an issue. I would do business with the seller anytime. He communicates well and we got the phone right on time.
