Ice Road Truckers - The Complete Season One (DVD, 2007, 3-Disc Set)

I WAS VERY PLEASED THE FIRST TIME I WATCHED THIS DOCUMENTARY ON TV.
SO I DECIDED TO PURCHASE THIS DVD SET FOR MY SONS CHRISTMAS PRESENT.
WELL I SHOWED MY FRIENDS AT WORK THE GIFT THAT I HAD PURCHASED AND THEY WERE VERY JELIOUS. HA HA
I ENJOY SEEING THE LOOK ON THE TRUCK DRIVERS FACE WHEN THE ICE STARTED TO CRACK. HA HA
SCARY JOB, I WOULD NOT LIKE TO FALL THROUGH THE ICE STUCK INSIDE A TRUCK.
DVD WAS MADE VERY NICELY, GOOD STORY LINE, GOOD FOOTAGE, FUNNY DRIVERS A+++

I absolutely loved this series on the History Channel. When I heard that it was going to be made into a DVD I was ecstatic. This show shows the "ugly" side of diamonds. Most people only see diamonds on rings and other jewelry, but they have no clue where they come from and everything that is done to get them to you. This series shows how the diamond mines stay functioning year long even though most of the surrounding terrain is water. In negative degree weather, these few men go out and truck what the diamond mines need over ice, yes, frozen water, ICE! Even if the load is thousands of pounds, which most are, they still do it. And the money! I was amazed at how much money these guys make, that is... if they survive. Iceroad trucking will very quickly show you if you have what it takes to be an extreme trucker, and if not, you'll know it. Iceroad trucking sorts out the men from the boys. That's one thing I really like about this show. The men, and a few women, were tough. It takes a lot to stand the cold, physically and emotionally. It takes a lot of guts to go out there everyday, and its shows on these men. Like I've said already, these guys are TOUGH! This show is great for anyone who wants to see the rough side of things, the hard times, and the good times. I recommend this for everyone and anyone. My 5 year old nephew loves this show, can't get him away from it! Whether you are in the trucking industry or not, this is a great series to watch.

This is a set that details the ice roads that are created every year in northern Canada to get supplies to the mines. It is about the short season and the intense race against time and the elements to get as much moved in as short a time as possible. Goes into the day-to-day routine of a few of the drivers and all the things that they go through to accomplish what they do.

This is a great combination video from the entire premiere season for the show and gives a great insight into a type of work in an area many know nothing about. I watched each show on the History Channel each week and felt this was a good way to watch some of the best moments again. For anyone who wants to see a different way of life for several months a year of how people make money I would say this video is for you.

We ordered the Ice Road Truckers DVD for a Christmas Gift. The complete season one is outstanding. Once you start watching this series, it is so hard to stop. The suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat. Great DVD...would highly recommend it to others.

I bought this Dvd set as a Christmas gift for my husband.He likes watching this show. I also like it to.

My son really likes this show and was real disappointed when it went off when the ice melted. Now he can watch it any time he wants to; cold or hot outside.

I loved everything about this! I got an entire season of one of my favorite shows on DVD for less than $10!!! DVD's came wrapped in the original plastic and they all work great! One of the best deals on eBay I've ever gotten!!

I came across this show near the end of season one during a marathon showing on the HIstory Channel. I am addicted! These drivers are brave men (and now women in season 3). Driving a fully loaded 18 wheel truck across an ice coated ocean--crazy or brave. After getting to know these everyday guys I would say both. Some are devoted drivers and family men such as Hugh and Alex. Some are clowns such as Rick (Ice Road Rick as he is better known). Through it all you learn more about these people and realize many of them love what they do despite the danger and time away from family. For them this is a part of life and how they support their family. The graphics are kind of crappy at times but the photography and scenery are great. If you haven't seen this show give it a try. If you have you'll be glad to own this set. Highly recommended!

I saw it on T.V. on the History channel, but someone one this forum says they were looking for diamonds through the ice??????????????What happened to the oil and natural gas they were mining??????never ever saw a diamond, must be two of these...anyway this is a good series for the whole family//thanks

i bought this ice road truckers dvd used some weeks ago, when the product arrived looked like a normal used dvd case, slightly worn, but when i open up the case all three dvds were new, no marks scratches, very little use. they played fine in my dvd player. well i would have to say i would have no problem buying from this store again, everything came in great condition and i would recommend to buy movies from this person in the future. thanks for your business and will do more in the future. thanks.

Paid for something and did not get my dvd yet!!! Sent a payment on May 11 ,2009 in the mail.I email the person and ask them why I did not get my dvd but no one email me back.

This is an awesome show that takes you right out there with the truckers, their scares, their worries and their triumphs....

watched it a couple of times on TV and fell in love with the show. but in my line of work i missed several episodes, now i can catch up.

Awesome series....everyone should own it. Interesting, funny, realistic...just great! If you like Deadliest catch...you'll like this one...
