Cranium Kabookii (Wii, 2007)

Our family are big Cranium fans, so we are enjoying this Wii version a lot. I would probably give it a 4.5 if I could. It has the type of challenges we have come to expect from Cranium games, but a lot of them have a new twist because of the format. You spin a dial to see what activity you will do. Most of the activities are a lot of fun, but we haven't quite figured out how to use the remote to do a few of them, which is why I did not give it a 5-star rating. One of our favorites is where you use the Wii remote to act out things like flipping a pancake or hammering in a nail. You can play with 2, 3, or 4 teams, so it gives you a lot of flexibility. If you like "out of the box" communication games, I think you'll love Kabooki!

IT'S A CUTE GAME BUT THE GLASSES DON'T WORK VERY WELL. YOU REALLY GOTTA STARE AT THE SCREEN AND GET THE OPINION OF OTHERS TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE WORDS ARE. ALSO, THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO PLAY THE INDIVIDUAL GAMES LIKE IN THE MARIO PARTY GAMES. YOU JUST HAVE TO FIGURE IT OUT FOR YOURSELF.

The game is difficult for anyone and everyone that is playing the game. You can only use on wiimote for this game, if you have children that don't comprehend that idea of sharing/ using only remote can be a challenging. There is sections of the game can be challenging for some ages to play. I don't recommend for anyone to purchase this game because it is difficult game for anyone.

This game is somewhat fun, but it is very poorly made. There are very few game options. You can't change the length of the game or any other settings. The only choice is basically, how many teams do you want. We found it very difficult to draw with the Wii controllers. During one game you mimic an action with the controller, but sometimes no matter how often we tried or how accurately we did the action, the game would not recognize it as correct. This game could have been awesome, but it seems like they just used the Cranium name to rush a sub par game to market.

Great family game with huge variety of options. Will keep you guessing and enjoying the entire time you are playing.

This game is cool for parties, but if you want to play it alone or with 1 or 2 people it's pretty lame.

Bought this game a couple weeks ago and finally got to play it with my husband and another couple. We had a good time! There are fun activities that are interactive! Worth buying!

I bought this game for my daughter and after playing it for a few days already, she loves it and my wife (school teacher) thinks it's a great game for kids to develop their knowledge !! Very satisfied overall !!

Fun for kids of all ages. Graphics are not the greatest. Thought it would be a fun "family night" game. Kids, ages 5 and 7 love it!

I thought this would be a game my kids would be able to play with little supervision. BOY WAS I WRONG! They need me to do everything for them, and they don't have any fun with it at all! We've played it once, and I was not impressed enough to play it again! Don't waste your money unless you've got older kids, and are wanting something that you'll have to sit down to do. Not as fun as the board game, and kind of a pain in the butt that you have to have the decoder mask to play (have brought it over to friends house and forgotten the mask twice and can't play without it). This one probably not worth buying... may as well just rent it for an occasional family fun night.
