NBA 2K9 (Playstation 3, 2008)

I used to be an avid fan of the nbalive series, but it wasn't until i played nba 2k8, that the differences between the 2 games really showed. If you prefer arcade style basketball, and just have fun, then nba live is yours. But if you want more realistic basketball, then 2k9 is the one for you. The gameplay and graphics for 2k9 have improved, compared to nba live 09. The facial features, and skin tone are much on tact in 2k9. The online feature is also fun to team up with people from all around the world to play ball. Lag might become an issue though. I recommend this game to any avid basketball fan out there. PICK THIS NOT NBA LIVE!

Great game...looks excellent on an HDTV...so-so on a SDtv. graphics are great. players look realistic. not a game you can just pick up and play...you need to take a few games to get yourself into the intense game controls.

This is one of the most realistic PS3 games I have seen. It plays like heaven and requires very little time to get into. It is only a bit hard to get very good at and requires a couple games to really learn how to use and another many to master. It is a good game for the fans but not a good games for those who don't like basketball.

Update rosters it is essential, and this game have one.
Online multiplayer up to 7! players =D.

This games is terribly slow. The controls for the players is extremely poor. I wouldn't give this game away to someone I hated.

i like tha game you can actulize th e roster via internet the players looks like real. the arenas and the dunks are awesome.

Long time to ship and used game. was not in that good of condidion and other than that i guess it works alright. will not buy from user again

The most I like about the game is how the graphics are show, and that it makes my adrenaline goes higher. I also like the specific themes of the game. I decide to buy it because it got my attention and I want to play it.

I love 2k Basketball games. The graphic,gameplay is great. Love streetball mode. The live roster update is useful.

The game is just plain awful online. The lag is enough to make you wanna go out back and shoot yourself. For sure opt for the 360 version which plays perfect online. I dunno what it is with Sony and third party games online! But I suppose if you don't play online this game will suit you just fine.

NBA 2K9 is a great game for all gamers. This game has great graphics and a variety of camera angles. When I play I use the preset camera angle, but you can adjust the angle in a ton of ways. This game also incorporates play calling and many different common plays seen in real NBA games. For example alley oops, dunks, clutch threes, momentum etc. When a player starts making a few shots they get in rhythm and don't miss very often. But when a player is controlled poorly and bad shots are taken and missed, that player gets out of rhythm and usually misses until there are good decisions from the gamer. I also liked how the game had T Mobile, Sprite, and Gatorade advertising in it. The game really makes you feel like you are watching a real NBA game. The graphics are as good as they get as of now. The ratings are a little off for some players but they are ok.
This game is really great, especially for sports and NBA fans.
