The Actor's Art and Craft is a good book that provides a useful insight into the Meisner method of acting. The book takes you through the first year of Bill Esper's acting class as if you were there. Along the way, the mistakes and successes of the students are experienced, as well as directions and knowledge of the method from Esper. The general explainations of the Meisner techniques in the book may seem incomplete, but they provide a simpler, more individual approach to acting that could be beneficial to any actor.
