Road Atlas May Be "Old School" But Still Has Value
Owning a road atlas may seem "old school" to many people, especially since the advent of GPS, but I think that there is still a place for them in our busy lives. I like the accuracy and convenience of being able to consult the atlas and take it on trips to consult at a moment's notice. I purchased the atlas because currently my vehicle does not have a GPS system. I had been spoiled in the past with having factory installed GPS systems. Whenever I travelled to unknown areas I always ran a mapquest and depended on my GPS. It is amazing how many times the mapquest greatly differed from the GPS directions. I found myself "averaging" the information to get to my destinations. Recent problems with satellites affecting the accuracy of GPS has me mourning the loss of my GPS less and less because the road atlas is very accurate.
