Tom Clancy's EndWar (Playstation 3, 2008)

I like tradition RTS games and i had the obvious doubts at first about the transition to the console. Many games like Starcraft were killer on pc with the Mouse and Keyboard interface but seriously lacked in their console renditions due to the bulkiness of video game controllers.

But this game takes a different spin on the RTS genre with no character spawning, more of a hands on approach to commanding a wartime assault. There are fewer units to keep track of and they are already divided into small groups, both of which make use of the controller much more tangible than in previous games.

Then come voice-controls. I will say that sometimes i feel like i'm yelling at my bluetooth just to get a command recognized, with the mic volume all the way up. But when it does hear you it takes the strategy to a new level. The ability to command forces off screen is completely ground-breaking and absolutely essential to successful gameplay.

This game didn't get fantastic reviews elsewhere, but i thought it was pretty awesome.

One word, disapointment!!! I was expecting so much more out of this game. Graphics are not all that great for a game of it's time. Play control isnt bad, but play interaction is less then par!!!

WHILE PICKING THIS GAME UP ON THE CHEAP - VERY HAPPY WITH IT. ONCE YOU GET PAST MESSING AROUND TO GET THE GAME TO RECOGNIZE YOUR VOICE COMMANDS - IT BECOMES VERY INTERESTING! VOICE COMMANDS CAN BE ANNOYING TO OTHERS, BUT THIS MAY BE A LOOK INTO THE FUTURE FOR VIDEO GAMES? OR AN INTERESTING TRIAL THAT DOESN'T TAKE OFF? TIME WILL TELL. THIS IS A STRATEGY GAME AND A NICE CHANGE FROM ALL THE FPS GAMES THAT TAKE UP WHAT SEEMS TO BE 95% OF THE MARKET. IF YOU ARE INTO SOMETHING ABIT DIFFERENT, THAT IS A GOOD GAME - ITS WORTH A GO!

I like that End War is different from other war games which are usually 1st person shooters. This game involves your mind and keeps you thinking ahead of your enemy. You need to see your weaknesses and your strengths and exploit them. Anticipation is key to your success. The game does take a little longer to get used to with voice commands and different style of the game. But overall I like it and think it worth giving it a try with an open mind towards the wargame genre.

i feel the game was too short and not enough variety of units. it had potential to be a great game . i am disappointed with it

I did not like anything of the game, not my type of game...i disliked the fact that i like to be the one shooting, i expected it to be a great game because its a tom clancy gamn, i am very disappointed with this game

Bought this for my son but he didn't like it. Says its the first Tom Clancy game he didn't like. He's played all of them so it must be true.

This is a great game! I wasnt able to look for it cheaper in the stores.. I found them here for a cheaper price and although is a good Game, I do recommend it for those that love strategy games...

I did not like this game. I did not realize that it was a Command and Conquer type game. I am a big Clancy fan and expected this game, by its reviews and photos on the packaging to be a shooter. It unfortuanately is not. Graphics are pretty good and the ability to utilize the headset to control troops is ok, but just not my cup of tea.

I love it, take command and set them in motion. True command and conquer style for playstation3 this game rocks if loved the pc stle rp games like C&C or risk or Stratigo you will love end war!

i hate it its boring and lame i cant stand it im so glad i rented it and didnt buy it DO NOT BUY iT unless you wanna be bored i hate i spent 5 bucks to rent it what a wast of gaming resources trust me dont get it

got it for present. very good game and it also have trophies so you can show it off to your friends.

I was excited about this game when I first saw it, and when I first heard about the voice commands. However, 1-2 hours into playing the game, the excitement was gone with a complete sense of disappointment. There is some strategy to the game, however, the entire game is an RTS strategy for warfare, that honestly, doesn't come close to any competition. The only thing that this game can brag about is the fact that it has voice recognition, albeit limited commands.

Tom Clancy titles have been very good, however, EndWar was a disappointment.

Christmas present was highly requested and I would highly recomend to anyone who likes shooting games with a lot of awesome graphics and realistic looking gaming

the game is ok grafics are very good,,,but game could of been better made, its all about commands on air striks and ground combat,only by your command i grade it a B- by beat818 as mob

I like this game a lot. It is very real i felt as if i was in the military myself. I already told all my friends about it and they are bidding as we speak.

well worth the price and worth the product no damages was send to me fast and effective with no problem at all with the video game

This game is not your regular war game.I did not like it at all. This is more like an RPG game and it is very hard to understand.As far as ease of play i would give it a 4/10 and the game overall,4/10.

it had a good price, and the product was still in its plastic. shipping was very cheap too. there are no complaints about this transaction.

i love the voice controls and graphics, tom clancy games have never disapointed me before and this is nno different.

Dont waste your $$$$. If you like one on one action, the thrill of combat , YOU WONT FIND IT ON THIS ONE. REALLY LAME. THIS ONES A BIG ZERO.

The Game is Really sweet overall but since not that many people play it anymore it kinda deafeats the purpose of its online feature.
