Charlotte's Web (DVD, 2007, Widescreen)

This is a great family movie. Dakata Fanning plays the part of Fern very well. The movie is timeless--it is not in the present day with cel phones, etc. yet it is not old fashioned and out of date. Kids relate to the story. It is a talking animal movie--but not the overdone same old voices that seem to reappear in some kids' movies. Rather, the voices fit the animals and their personalities. Especially with Templeton the rat. The computer effects of Templeton's rathole are worth the money for the movie! It is precious to see his stach down his hole. The movie is a super adaptation from the book but not directly bit by bit from the book. The innocence of the movie makes it charming as well. It is a worthy investment to buy the movie if you have young children.

I took my 3 year old daughter to see it and it was TERRIFIC!!! I must admit that I too am not a Dakota Fanning fan, but it's in my opinion that you don't take an opportunity such as this to bash an actor, or a little girl! Now back to the film:) I think the actors and actresses that provided their voices for this film did a marvelous job. And that Dakota Fanning performed very well in this film. It's in my opinion that this movie is a must see for anyone with elementary school aged children. I will definitely go see it once more and/or purchase this movie

My 2.5 yr. old daughter LOVES this and my husband and I were surprisingly impressed with it as well. The writing is great and my little girl has been quoting The Rat for weeks...all around great family movie based on a classic book.

My daughter loves this movie! Entertaining! Fun! I bought it because we I knew she would like it because I liked the old version.

This moview was really good! I bought it for my son for his birthday and he can't seem to get enough of it. And, the important thing is it teaches kids about animals and that everyone is special in their own ways.

This was amusing and sweet. Nice for adults as well as children. The animation was wonderful and the relationship between live characters very believable.

ENJOYED THE MOVIE AND RECOMMEND FOR ALL AGES. CHARACTER'S ARE SO REALISTIC AND MESSAGE'S IT TRIES GET ACROSS ARE ALSO EASY ENOUGH FOR US TO UNDERSTAND.

THIS IS NOT ONLY A GREAT CHILDRENS MOVIE, BUT HOLDS THE INTEREST OF ALL WHO WATCH IT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

This is an all time favorite movie, a movie that the whole family can watch. I love this movie and I am 34 years old, I am a mother of two boys 11 and 13 and they also love this movie. It's one of those movies that makes you laugh and even makes you misty eyed! I love those type of movies. Get the popcorn and the kleenex. I love that they have animated this movie, and dakota fanning is an awsome actress, she is so adorable. If you want to watch an all time family favorite, this is it!

Few children escape childhood without reading the book Charlotte's Web by E B White, and for good reason. This movie has been faithfully adapted from that delightful book to film. Most live action movies with talking animals are not worth seeing, but this time things are done right. Dakota Fanning is adorable as the young child Fern and the animal voice actors are superb featuring the likes of Julia Roberts, Oprah Winfrey, and Robert Redford. The unlikely story of friendship that develops between Wilbur the Pig and Charlotte the Spider is unforgettable. Charlotte's Web will certainly appeal best to younger children or older audiences who have read the book, but even most adults will find themselves touched by the miracles within and around this story.

I personally liked the original cartoon version of this better since I am not a big fan of spiders and the cartoon one wasnt quite as intimidating as the big hairy real life one. The movie followed the book fairly well and as usual Dakota Fanning amazes me in her talent for someone so young.

My family really liked this movie! For those that dont know, Charlottes Web is the story of a runt piglet saved first by a little girl and then by a wise spider. We follow the piglets life as the spider, Charlotte, does her best to save him from the fate of the dinner plate. The casting is fabulous! Dakota Fanning plays a fiesty Fern, Steve Buscemi as Templeton the Rat, (I loved the rat!), Oprah Winfrey and Cedric the Entertainer make great geese. Rheba McIntyre gives the proper color for Betsy, the Cow, and Robert Redford portrays, Ike, the horse, with enough steadfast cynicism. And John Cleese is proper and right as the sheep. Dominick Scott Kayes played Wilbur, Julia Roberts makes us believe Charlotte is beautiful. The Special Features are excellent - I love finding out how they made the movie.

My granddaughter loves this movie and we purchased it for her.We wanted her to have the chance to watch this movie any time she wants.

I teach pre-k and purchased this for my class a few weeks ago. They love this movie.It is rated pg which is what we are only allowed to watch.

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT MOVIE. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A FAN OF THE CARTOON VERSION OF THIS. GREAT FAMILY VIEWING.

I rented this movie to share with my six-year-old boy. I didn't know if he would relate to Fern, the little girl in the movie, but he sure liked the slapstick and cow-fart humor. At the end of the movie, it was time for bed. He called me into his room, saying he couldn't sleep because he was crying so hard. I asked if he was sad because of the ending. He replied it was because he was so happy, and that he was happy and sad at the same time.

I have never seen him so moved from merely watching a video; it was a bit frightening. He said he was going to watch "Charlotte's Web" every day for the rest of his life.

CD arrived, it was wonderful. I wanted to buy it after seeing reviews of it on TV, etc. It is a good family movie and I enjoyed it very much.

I loved this movie we have watched it 5 times great!!! excellent seller item as described. This was great for us because I loved the cartoon as a kid.

I bought this DVD to watch with our grandsons and it was a hit. After watching it one day, our dear grandson wanted to watch "Charley's Web" again. So nice to have good entertainment for little ones.

This was a WONDERFUL family movie. Went to the theatre with my 2 year old son to watch it. Held his attention and it was good and clean. Wonderful movie.

The item was exactly what I wanted. Very pleased and would not hesitate to order again. This was a gift for my granddaughter and she loves it.
