Man of the Year

Robin Williams is typical Robin Williams with his jokes and his fast talking and all that. He's great as News Show Comedian (ala Colbert) who runs for President.

Man of the Year features a well written story and a star studded cast. It has its share of laughter and mystery and it features Christopher Walken, which is never a a bad thing.

I really enjoyed this movie, a lot more than I thought I would, and I highly recommend it to anybody who loves Bill Mahrer, Stephen Colbert, or Jon Stewart. It's a great look into what Politics would be like if a comedian ran for office.

Worth buying?: This is a tough one, while I absolutely loved it the first time, I'm not really that pumped to buy it... watch it first before buying just in case!

Well written and something different and refreshing. "Robin Williams" is at his usual best and the supporting actors do a fantatic job. I'd reccomend it.

I adore Robin Williams and this movie is truly hilarious!! It does prove that if a "common person" didn't need millions of dollars to run for President, that perhaps our country would have better candidates running for President than the ones we currently get to vote for. Robin is great in this movie . . . his view and opinions on issues are truly priceless. Jeanne S.

Robin Williams is a Riot, as Everyone's favorite Comic who runs for president on a whim and winds up in the oval office in this tongue-in-cheek spoof of the short-commings of our political system. A glitch in the new-fangled voting sytem gives a trump to double letters in alphabetical order?. Hey, where are the hanging chads when you need them, lol Good story and plot, plenty of good gags from the best multi-personality comic ever.

Just imagine Jon Stewart becoming President, thats basically the same premise for Tom Dobbs (Williams) in Man of the Year. This movie is hilarious, and a must see for Robin Williams lovers. He has so many awesome jokes in this movie its amazing, and Christopher Walken and Lewis Black complement him very well. There is a serious side to the movie as well, a deeper meaning. Some could compare this comedy to Click... very funny but with an overall meaning. He gives a Mrs. Doubtfire-esque performance for me.

I wanted to add it to my collection. I saw it in theaters and a few times on TV and I was impressed with the storyline and the cast.

Not Bad ROBIN COMES THROUGH AGAIN. Reasonable story and some humor here. Way to go. Pretty good imagination with all this stuff.

Liked the movie, but was unable to watch it with the family. Decided to buy it for the convenience of watching when we liked. My wife thought it was extremely funny.
DVD was received in good condition and shipped promptly. Nice!

Watching this movie showed me what could happen in our presidential elections someday. Robin Williams gave an outstanding performance in this role. Seeing David Letterman in person and seeing what goes on beyond the scenes makes this a realistic movie. It makes you laugh at our election system and at the same times it makes you think hard about system on how it works and ways it could be improved. i give this movie for lack of a better way to say it, two thumbs up. Any age can watch this movie as the language was very mild but gives a great example of our political system.

Comedy and Drama, only as Robin Williams can do. Robin Williams plays a talk show host and Comedian Tom Dobbs, who is asked during a show if he will run for President? Soon the movie is off and running. A different style of candidate is in the race for the whitehouse. Delcroy is the new voting machine and a woman finds a glitch in the software. And the drama is off and running. Christopher Walken is Williams manager and Jeff Goldblum is the high centered Delcroy marketer who sees the company profits go into the toilet unless he can stop the woman.
The race to the white house is anything but, a race as Americans soon find that a funny man on the race, is very serious about the job, why are we listening to the same old oil barons and financiers who say they can run this country when they cant even balance their own checkbooks?
This is a must see for anyone looking to escape the normal ratrace along election time....

JUST A BAD SELLER

Robin Williams let me down in this movie. The movie had a poor plot, dumb humor, and all in all just a bad movie. Not worth watching, and don't waste your money buying it.

I love Robin Williams and try to watch all his movies. Once again, he made a mundane situation funny. I don't like politics, but his version was really funny. The comment about "I never had sex with that woman" was especially funny and when he followed with "I wanted to" was even funnier. Was a reminder of how pathetic a real former President was during his office.

What a wonderful DVD. Robin Williams is at his best. Not only was there a speedy delivery but the DVD was in mint condition. It is a pleasure doing business with you.

Robin Williams makes you believe that a president without promises is possible in this light and humorous movie. You will find yourself laughing and wishing we could someday have an election like this just to see how it would really turn out.
