Wii Play for Nintendo Wii
Nintendo's Wii Play is the first game that I purchased for my Wii.
The main reason I purchased this game was for the Wii remote that
came bundled with the game. I figured it was a good deal to spend
the extra $15 bucks to get the Play game along with a controller
that I was going to purchase anyways. :)
The neatest thing about Wii play (Besides the bundled remote) is
the fact that you get to play the game with the Mii's that you
created. As you play you will also notice that Mii's that are
sent to you from friend's Wii's are also making an appearance in
the game.
Some of the games become boring after a bit. Yet so far, after a
month, the game is holding onto it's play value. I'd rate the
game as a strong 4/5. Well worth it for the remote though!
Wii play is broken into the following games:
Tanks:
This game is a battle type game where you use the remote and nunchuk
to move a tank through a maze. You are able to shoot at enemy tanks
and lay mines to destroy them. In multiplayer mode you team up to
destroy the tanks.
Charge:
You turn the remote sideways and race against the other player while
attempting to "charge" down scarecrows for points.
Billiards:
A modified version of 9-ball. You play against your opponent using
the Wii remote like a pool cue. You get a "behind the ball" 3D
location while playing. I found that I also suck at Wii pool as much
as I do at real pool.
Shooting Range:
Ah this is like the old version of Duck Hunt for the NES. You shoot
down balloons, ducks, clay pigeons, targets, cans, and alien space
ships.
Pose Mii:
A simple game where you turn your remote to put your Mii into a bubble
on the screen.
Find Mii:
A similar idea to "Where's Waldo". You have to find the fastest Mii,
The Mii you are using, and so forth. This game can be really interesting
as you try to beat your opponent to finding the Mii's. The game is
timed, so the more games you quickly finish the more puzzles you can
attempt to play.
Fishing:
You have to fish in a small pond. You try to hook little 2D fish out
and you get points for each fish you find. You also receive bonus
points if you hook the "fish" that is highlighted as a bonus fish for
that round.
Laser Hockey:
Just a version of pong. Keep the glowing puck out of the net by using
a pong type paddle
Table Tennis:
Another version of Pong. However, I find this game a bit more addicting than
the laser hockey version.

Just as Fun as Wii Sports. This game contains 9 Games, Including Pool, Ping Pong, Fishing, Shooting, Etc. The price is great especially you are still looking for a remote. Its fun that keep you busy for hours. I just got it today and I am stilling playing it. If you get a chance you should own it too =)

Wii Play comes with the Wiimote. So the $50 retail price (if you can even find it as supplies are limited to nothing) includes a $40 wiimote (supplies are worse!). So at retail prices, the $50 game comes with a $40 remote - meaning the game is $10.
While I rank Wii Play behind Wii Sports and Wario Smooth Moves - it is a classic party-type game that is built to showcase the Wiimote. You'll get lots of enjoyment out of this one (especially their duckhunt clone) just as you did with Wii Sports. Not the best game on the Wii - but maybe the best for the buck!

This is a fine package as long as you realize that mostly what you are paying for is an extra wii-mote. The actual Wii Play game is extremely shallow and becomes very boring very quickly. If you liked Wii Sports, you will like Wii Play about half as much. Most of the nine games you will never play more than once. The few that you enjoy will only be fun for five or ten minutes at a time. This package is fine for very young players or video game beginners, but the gimmicky play wears off quickly. If you are looking for a a bunch of mini-games, there are lots of better choices for the Wii such as Wario Ware, Rayman Raving Rabbids, and Super Monkey Ball. These games will certainly offer you plenty more for your gaming dollar.

The only thing good about the Wii Play is that it comes with a Wii-mote!! The mini-games are a complete waste of time and a complete failure!! If you need a Wii-mote and can't find one in stores, by all means pick a copy up just for the Wii-mote, if not save your money!

The Wii Play Game is a wonderful game for learning how to control your Wii Remote. It is a great Deal because you get a game and a Wii Remote for a little more money than the cost of just the remote.

It is high fun for kids and adults, the Pool, Table Tennis, Lazer Hockey and Target Shoot are the favorites w/ most people we have seen so far. Well it's great for people under 6' in height. The people above this height will experience all kinds of inaccurate swings and motion sensing. We test out most products through a series of tests from different groups which vary from age and experience to find the best overall products for people to use and the best price available. The exercise benefit of Wii games is w/o a doubt the strongest asset. Seeing that this keeps hand eye coordination, cardio, and muscles toned, while removing the decades old couch potato disease. We give it
3 1/2 thumbs up out of 5.

Fun Games, Cow Racing???

Many of the games included in WII play are fun for kids and adults. I even had fun racing around on the back of a cow for a while. This has become my kids new favorite game.
A couple of the games have a retro past also. The shooting range game has a definite Duck Hunt feel to it (with a few cameo appearences from everyones favorite waterfowl); and the tanks game has its roots in the old Atari 2600 however this version has a definite WII twist to it. You aim, fire, and drop mines with the remote while driving with the nunchuck (quite fun and very intuitive).
The only complaint I have about the game is that Nintendo requires you to "unlock" all the games by playing them in the order they set up before you have access to all the games. This was rather annoying since the Tanks game was last on the list and the first one I wanted to play. (this is however only a one time thing. Once you unlock all the games they stay that way until you get a new WII.)

I love this title. All of the games are extremely addictive. Like the 5 sport game that comes with the system, these are the kind of game you just start playing right out of the box. With the cost of the Wii controllers, this is like getting 9 games for $15. A must have game for the Wii.

The Wii Play comes with an additional Wii-remote so you can "play with a friend". A great idea since the Wii console only comes with one Wiimote & makes it even better for the $'s as it's included in the game price. :)There are nine games on the disk.
* Shooting Range - shoot at various targets
* Find Mii - locate either pairs of Mii's, odd Mii's or your own Mii
* Table Tennis - paddles, a ball, a net & a table
* Pose Mii - use your Wiimote to pose your Mii & match it to one pictured
* Laser Hockey - like table hockey, but electrified in neon
* Billiards - traditional game of pool set-up; helps to know you must go in # order
* Fishing - catch the fish, but not the little guys or they cost you
* Charge - ride a cow & knock downs some scarecrows - a race against time
* Tanks! - battle it out with some tanks; blow up the enemies
When you put the disk in for the first play, the Wii starts you off with the Shooting Range as a way to start mastering the Wiimote. They call it stages. Basically, you play a game to master the different ways the Wiimote functions (it's a great idea actually, if you haven't already figured out the Wiimote). As you play each of the games or stages you master a different use of the Wiimote. You finish up with the final stage being the Tanks! which really does take some mastery of the Wiimote and the nunchuck. In a single-person play you earn points and can see your rank against your prior plays; you also have the opportunity to "earn a bronze, silver or gold Medal". In two-player mode the person with the higher score is declared the winner.
The instruction booklet is well laid-out making it easy to follow, as are the on-screen directions. It's also much easier to jump right into playing than some other games - very user friendly in that respect. You can choose to play with one person (against the computer where needed) or you can choose to play with two people. Two players are the maximum amount that can play at one time. That was one disappointment to us, as it would be nice to be able to play with more people, like the Wii-Sports allows. However, I can see in some games where this would not be very feasible. Like all games, it has its good points and its bad points.

I bought this game because I thought it would be good for my kids to play. The remote was an added bonus because I was going to need it anyway.
The games are fairly easy and get boring quickly. There are nine games that you can play individually or challenge a friend.
Shooting Range is a knock-off of Duck Hunt which is prety fun. You can shoot cans, frisbees, birds, and other things.
Biilards is a classics billards game which you use the nunchuck to play. After judging the strength it is pretty fun.
Find Mii is where you search for two Mii's that look alike, three Mii's that look alike, which one is fastest, slowest, tallest, etc. Can be pretty challenging as you progress in levels.
Pose Mii is where you have to use your nunchuck to pose the Mii's to fit like a puzzle with the on screen Mii outline.
Table Tennis is Ping Pong. Pretty tricky to get down, but pretty fun once you get the hang of it.

This is a great buy! You get a Wii game and a controller! The games are fun, some are hard. Each helps you learn a little more about using the controller (pointing, moving, etc). I really like the duck hunt, the Mii game and fishing. The duck hunt is really fun, it reminds me of long ago on the old system. This duck hunt not only has ducks though, it has ufos, cans, balloons and more. Some of the games are a little harder but fun also. The Mii game is fun cause they take the Mii's you have made and put them in the game. So don't be suprised if you see you Mii walk by you on a streat or swim towards you! :-D All the games included are: Shooting Range (duck hunt), Billiards, Find Mii, Tanks!, Pose Mii, Table Tennis, Fishing, Charge! and Laser Hockey. Most these games are very easy to play and are super fun!

I love this game. I think that if you are bored and you have a friend with you, you should sit down and play this. The two player mode allows you to play against your friend and kick his butt! I bought this because I knew that I would not have been able to find it in stores , due to the fact that it came with a remote. (I bought it on ebay, BEFORE IT WAS REALEASED ONTO STORE SHELVES!)I do thinK that 1 or 2 games on this are a bit too hard, but I completely recommend it.

These games are fun and can be enjoyed by the whole family. The games train you on all the different ways to use the wii remote. It comes with a remote and a cover for it. Extra remotes cost $40 and if you buy this game it comes with an extra remote for $50 in stores. If you can get it for cheaper than $50 on here, it's a great deal!

Wii Play has 9 games on it: Shooting Range (Duck Hunt), Find Mii, Table Tennis (Ping Pong), Shape Mii, Laser Hockey (Air Hockey), Billards (Pool), Fishing, Cow Racing, and Tanks.
Half the games on here will not keep you playing for long. (Find Mii, Shape Mii, and Fishing)
The other half are very fun for Multi-Player and will keep you playing quite a while. (Shooting Range, Laser Hockey, Billards, Cow Racing, and Tanks)
Lasting thought? Though, none of the games are ground breaking it's not that bad of a party game, and for that price ($10 after the Wii-Remote), it's really a steal.

Let's be fair, the WiiMote by itself costs close to $40... paying $50 to get the Wii play... is SO worth it! Who doesn't wanna have a great bunch of time wasters to enjoy on a nice late afternoon.
Most of the games get boring quick, but some of them totally surprised me. I love the Fishing game, I do go fishing in the ocean, so you can imagine it's refreshing to play pretend fishing in my living room :)
For the price, it's really a decision that is made for you... Want an extra controller... and a bunch of great little games to help you pass the time? Get this great item!
