Soulcalibur IV (Playstation 3, 2008)

I liked the fighting and typical soulcalibur style. I give it a 8 out of 10 for the fighing and is a very good fighter game. Useing vader is awesome it makes the game better and mixed with soulcalibur charicters

This is was a great weapon based fighting game. The Graphics are insane and I could play it for a while lots of replay time. The only problem is online mode, everyone already seems to be unbeatable and the critical finishes are a little bland at best but that will probably all be sorted in the next one since this was probably a test run for the game. but overall playing with your buddies or a CPU its very satisfying.

The game play is above average in this game but nothing ground breaking. Was a pretty good buy if the price is right. I bought it for about 17 dollars. The amount of characters you can choose from and create/edit is fairly impressive and the online play is really good. Story is ok for a game like this.

SC4 is the first SC to feature hd resolution. The moves control pretty much the same as in previous SC installments. That means weapon controll is nearly flawless and the fighter design is leaps and bounds ahead even when matched up against the last SF game(which i though was overrated,but this is not the place for that). Even though Darth Vader is in the game,this is NOT a game for kids. Aside from the violence,the female fighters wear outfits that make men droll and makes women roll their their eyes. Theres a reason why the term "suggestive themes"is under the teen rating on the back of the case. The game has a ton of stuff to unlock,so its a lot meatier in the off-line department when compared to SF4.


Suffice to say,this game is worth every penny you pay for it(most brand-new copies of this game sell for 20-30 dollars on ebay.) The CAW (create-a-warrior)feature is robust to say the least. There are literally thousands of combinations for your imagination. A good fighting game indeed.

I've really enjoyed Soulcalibur IV because of its customizable characters and the different modes of play (regular arcade, story mode, & challenge). The hints as to how you can earn bonus items are fun to try to figure out as well. Additionally, the graphics are just amazing. Though I have Streetfighter IV, I'd have to say that Soulcalibur IV still beats it hands down (and lets face it, playing as Darth Vader or the Apprentice is just too much fun). You'll get a good amount of hours of play if you don't get hung up on the Apprentice or making your character. I definitely recommend this for everyone interested in fighting games.

It is best fighting and it have final finsh to ko other characters. Online best! It have 24 between 30 characters and you can create your own characters with different kind of their style fighting. Nice!

I love this game. The graphics are exceptional and the fights are very interesting. The only reason I gave this a "good" rating was because I feel it takes less skill to play this game when compared to Street Fighter. In all, this game is definitely worth playing, but if you are looking for a more challenging game, buy Street Fighter

i think the graphics in the game are very good.i am not to big on these fighting style game"but with the graphics it makes it worthwhile visually to keep playing and trucking on.there are a wide variety of charecters to choose from.worth checking out.

If you're a fand of the Soulcalibur series, then this is just a must have. Some old faces and some new faces... But best of all... YODA!!! He's fun as could be to play with. And the game play is smooth as could be.

This game is exciting to play. It's definitely in keeping with previous versions of the game, if not better. Very entertaining with loads of characters, not to mention unbelievable graphics. A must have.

Great game! Great animation. Fun to play alone or with friends. It has a great custom character creator that you could play with all day. The individual levels are very detailed. All around great game, highly recommended for anyone!

I bought the game Soulcalibur IV three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number the fighters available on this game. The game is great, very nice effect and grafique.

Bring the heat Star wars style! This is the first Soul Caliber I've played, but other than the Finishing moves not being that gory. It's a great game with awsome graphics.

Namco is one of the best developers in the game fields. Just looking at these character models and backgrounds in Soul Calibur IV is enough to make your mouth drop open. Where else can you play as Darth Vader, choking and slicing your way through your opponents? Adding the Star Wars stage (with authentic music) and Vader makes this game truly epic. For as much as Namco's Soul Calibur series has stayed the same, the more fun the weapons-based fighter has become. Soul Calibur IV is no different, offering up a plethora of fighters that bear familiar faces to fans of the series, as well as even offering Darth Vader (yes, Darth Vader) as a bonus fighter for the Playstation 3 version of the game while X-Box 360 gamers get Yoda :( , and stands as the best fighter to hit the PS3 yet. This is worth getting even without Yoda.

Good battles and well ballanced to every player, you can´t loose this episode!!
Playing as Darth Vader isn´t the best part of the game as I think when I first take look, you have almost infinit possibilities of customisation for your own character!!!

First off the graphics are amazing. But the best part is that it's just not about the graphics, the gameplay and sound are outstanding. If you liked any of the previous Soul Calibur games then this one is a must have. It's easily accessible for veterans and even for new comers. There's deep gameplay mechanisims such as counters, parries, combos, skill sets, and so on. There's a little something for everyone, for both casual and hardcore fighting gamers.

Very easy game to play, My five year old plays it!!! Not as violent as some other games. No blood or limbs fly out or off.

So far PS3 doesn't really have any good fighting game for the show this is by far the best and only good fighting game PS3 have to offer if you're big fan for fighting game is is a must have peice for PS3.

If you're looking for a great fighting game on the PS3, you've just found it. Tons of modes, tons of characters and unlockable content. It's got a good online mode, though it can lag sometimes. Seriously, this game is great, get it.

I love a rudimentary, button-mashing fighting game. This is a game for everyone. Every character has a weakness, so no one is unstoppable. It's a good game to play when you hang out with friends. It's really easy to pick up, even if you haven't played them previously. I found it hard to put the controller down until I had everyone leveled up. There is an onslaught of characters to unlock, featuring Darth Vader and his Apprentice. I do miss the Legendary weapons, but am a fan of the customer character options. It is time consuming acquiring everything so there is always something else to do on this game. Worth the money. Probably the best fighting game out there.
