Fatwa (DVD, 2006)

I ignored what I had been told about this movie and watched it for myself! I'm pleased that I didn't listen to the nay sayers! Truthfully, EVERY member of the cast delivered exceptional performances with each them given the opportunity to own at least one outstanding scene in the movie!

The plot is not far fetched as I had been told.......There were two knocks my friends had on this movie. One was about the terrorists knowledge of day to day schedules of our elected officials......How much do we, the general public, really know about sleeper terrorists cells and their capabilities? Not much! The second knock was about the easy access afforded the Senator to engage in casual sex without a security detail at her bedside. Need I point out that our real life daily news is filled with reports of the naughty amorous acts of infidelity by our elected officials....starting at the Oval Office, i.e. Bill Clinton? How this could ever be considered unrealistic in a movie is beyond the pale!

I thought the movie had a steady flow and rapidly developed characters without a lot of unnecessary fluff. There weren't any lulls and every scene had purpose to the overall plot. The only negatives I took offense to were the opening and closing anti-American scenes.

All in All......keep both eyes open for this one!
