Casanova (DVD, 2006)

If you love Heath Ledger as I do; you will love this movie; he is his usual engaging cute self, always a good actor, but never better than when in period movie such as this one. I started watching just because of him, but continued to watch because of the interesting plot and other actors. Very satisfying; light comedic action.

I bought this to complete my research on Heath Ledger's films. I was so surprised by the sophistication and the humorous side of this film. It was outrageous in an adult sort of way. Great story with a happy ending. Much like the films of old. The only one I think where Ledger doesn't actually die in the last scene. You could tell he really enjoyed this film and I had to watch the extra footage of the scenes and staging over and over. It was actually made in Venice and the age of the story fits the age of the scenes. It was the best in my opinion of Ledgers more adult films. He grew up to be a wonderful actor and this left me with both sadness at his loss and happiness that he had reached this level of performance before his untimely death.

I Loved this movie. It had romance and comedy. They couldn't have picked a better actor to play this part. Heath had charm, looks, and a comedian all wrapped up in one person. There wasn't anything I didn't like about this movie. If you don't have this movie than I highly recomend you get it!

I loved it! It was like a cross between Shakespeare in Love and The Princess Bride, somehow - with a little bit of The Libertine mixed in. I kept expecting some over-used They Meet, One (or the other) is Quirky/Ahead of Their Time, They Fall In Love, yawn. NOPE! All elements of that were so well crafted into a laugh-out-loud funny plot with genuinely good comic timing and some great twists of sub-plots. Oliver Platt stole his scenes, too. Buying this was money well spent, and recommending it is words well written. Enjoy!

Well, I can't give this a horrible review because I happen to be a Heath Ledger fan! But the movie, although it had a couple of funny moments, was way too predictable to fall into what most would say was a great film.

I bought the DVD because I am a huge Heath Ledger fan. I am trying to collect all of his work because obviously there will not be anymore. The DVD arrived rather quickly and it was in perfect condition. I was very pleased with the entire transaction.

This movie has been a favorite ever since I watched it the first time and now I can watch it over and over again as much as I want. It is a great lov story and a great storytelling Dvd I absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone that is interested in buying it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ANOTHER wonderfully funny, entertaining movie w/ the late, GREAT Heath Ledger. If you like Heath even just a little, you'll love this period piece. It's funny, charming, and a bit silly. WATCH IT!! You WON'T be disappointed!!!

I saw this film on tv and it immediately became one of my favorites. The story line is easy to follow with a nice blend of light humor and romance. This film tells the story of the great lover, casanova, who is played by Heath Ledger. Heath ledger has a standout performance as well as pretty much all of the other main characters. There was a scene or two they didnt show on tv that made the film that much better. Recommended.

Its a great movie, with Heath Ledger playing Casanova. Great performances throughout. There are great twists throughout, and beautiful period movie.

i love this movie. Heath will be missed!!!!!!! while this movie was slightly preditable what more do you want from a romance? You want thew guy to get the girl it is what makes it a happy ending.

I think this was a wonderful comedy starring Heath Ladger. A huge Ledger fan, I would highly recommend this movie to the romantic/comedy movie lover!

I thought this film very funny, loved the actors, there was wit, charm, a little bit of everything in it. I laughed my butt off watching some of the parts. I loved the pig part, that was cute, plus Heath Ledger as Casanova, oh yea baby... but I am particle to him and his films... I also regret that we lost such a fine actor at such a young age...

Much better than the PBS, Masterpiece Theater version. The script and plot are nothing compared to the views of Vience. The making of the movie is better than the movie itself. Heath is always worth the price of admission.
