Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson (1995, Paperback, Anniversary)

I love this book! My husband asked me to buy it on ebay because he used to read Calvin and Hobbes when he was a child. I read it every day now! It showes the humor and imagination of a little boy with his stuffed animal Hobbes. It is a classic!!

If you know someone who might enjoy Calvin & Hobbes, or someone who is getting into it, or someone who likes C&H but somehow doesn't have this book... then this book is the perfect gift. Watterson's writing about his work, the characters, his inspirations for them, the comics business in general, and little notes about each comic, all reveal a vast amount of background about what was going on behind the scenes, about stuff in each comic that you just wouldn't appreciate otherwise. It's easily my favorite of the C&H compilations. I've given multiple ones as gifts.

Very good classic!! The pages are very well drawn. Funny every step of the way highly recommended reading for anyone looking for a good laugh!!!!!!

This is one of my all-time favorite books and my absolute favorite Calvin and Hobbes book. I love the commentary by Bill Watterson: "I hope someday some cartoon historian will document that I was the first writer to use the word 'booger' in a comic strip." This book is a must-have for any true C&H fan.

bought it as a irthday bgift for my 9 year old grandson who loves Calvin and Hobbs. He requested it on his birthday gift list and laughs all the time while reading it.

Anytime I get down or start to take life to serious I sit down with Calvin and Hobbes. I have even cut out some strips and framed them in my office. This book was different because Bill Watterson gave some insites on what it takes to produce a comic strip on a regular bases.
