Lexmark X4270 All-In-One InkJet Printer

I now own 2 of these all-in-one printers as my $300 HP died after 2 years of operation. My first Lexmark X4270 I have had as my secondary printer has now outlasted my HP. The HP I loved and had great features. But at $100 + more I could not afford another HP to replace the old one. Ink cartridges for the Lexmark are a bit pricey but was able to find them for less than half the price on eBay. With a good refill kit I have found that ink becomes cheaper that if you were to find the same for the HP on eBay. Copies, and Print quality is probably better than the HP. Scanning is also as good or better. Fax works quite well and probably not as well as my HP 2100 series. But... To tell the truth..... For the money I could not have gone wrong with the Lexmark. I am very happy!

A solid printer, for the money. The X4270 was sufficient for my needs, but it isn't very advanced. I still prefer HP and Epson machines, but this all-in-one isn't bad. I would give this printer a 5, but Lexmark cartridges tend to be pricey. The good news is that remanufactured cartridges are a good alternative to retail ink tanks.

I bought one of these new a year ago at a big box store. Worked great for a few months of home use, then the features fell off 1 by 1. Stopped printing envelopes, stopped receiving multipage faxes (took them if sent page by page), stopped printing color although it said the cartridge was full (I think it was empty). The phone handset is practically useless. Customer phone support was spotty, and now difficult to find. Cartridges are expensive, and haven't found generics. A year later, it will still print B&W pages from Word and WordPerfect. Haven't tried the scanner.

I HAVE ONE OF THESE FOR OVER A YR NOW, IT WORKS GREAT. EXCEPT I HAD ONE SENT TO ME WITHOUT THE PHONE WORKING. I SENT IT BACK TO LEXMARK CO. AND THEY SENT ME ANOTHER BROKEN ONE, OTHERWISE IT WORKS FINE FOR WHAT I NEED IT FOR.

Great product and price. Super fast shipping. Setup was a breeze. I was impressed with the ease of operation. And user friendliness.

I just purchased a new Lexmark all in one printer model 4270. It was to replace my HP that had stopped scanning and copying. I actually brought this printer because of it's inexpensive price, less than $100.00, and it had all the features that I needed. Most all-in-one printers do not have a fax machine. The fax machine is an important feature for me. At the time I purchased it I had no intentions of making this my printer for very long...it was just affordable.

Setting this printer up was a breeze! It does not take up as much space as my HP did and that is a nice feature. It is slower to print then I had thought it was going to be...but the quality of the print is decent. I can not scan small pictures like my flat bed copier on my HP did but that is only a small inconvience.

There are pluses and minuses to this printer, but if you are looking to save money and have a decent printer then I would recommend this one...I believe that I will be keeping this around longer than I had originally thought!

I bought the X4270 All In One Printer on Ebay to replace my older Lexmark model. So far, I haven't regretted the purchase one bit. Once I got the program downloaded and got familiar with it, the features, choices and speed of this one has been outstanding. So far, I haven't got into the Fax feature. I read up on some review of this particular model before making my decision and, like I said, so far they are all correct. I would definitely recommend this printer to anyone who is looking to upgrade or replace their existing printer, or for anyone who does not have one yet. You won't be sorry. The price is right and the printer/copy/scan features are great. I'm sure that once I get using the Fax it will only add to my satisfaction.

Very satisfied with this Printer. It does everything that it was advertised to do - and does it well.
I bought it for several reasons - I was impressed with the things that it was supposed to do (copy, scan and fax). I also wanted a Lexmark Printer that used the ink cartridges that I had on hand from my previous printer (which needed replacement). And the X4270 fit that bill. And, the price was very good.
I would highly recommend this Printer to anyone who wants a serviceable, reasonably priced, home "All-In-One" Printer.

We own the exact model prior to buying this one. It prints fast. Fax and everything works good. It uses the older style Lexmark Ink Catridges that we can easily refill. It seems all the new Lexmarks in store now have switched over to new ink catridges and we don't know how easily they can be refilled so we decided not to buy a new one.

this all in one printer is very low priced for all it does and the quality of copies and printouts it produces.I purchased one of these for my self a year ago , thats why I searched and got one on e bay for my grand daughters school work.would recommend this product.

I like the convenience of being able to fax, scan, copy, and print on one machine. It was easy to setup and is simple to operate. It is bulky and it prints slowly.

It faxes well with my VOIP, land-line telephone. I purchased this machine mainly for its faxing capability and it exceeds my expectation.

This is my first "all-in-one" that doesn't have a flatbed scan area and I don't like it, because, if I want to scan, view scan, and then copy a document, I have to scan first, view scan, and then put the document back into the machine in order to copy, which is very annoying. Copying is easy.

The print quality is good. Color printing is extremely slow. I do not print photos, so I can't say it prints these well.

It is a bit large for my taste, but it isn't overwhelmingly huge.

I thought the price was good for this refurbished item. After I won the bid, which I placed my bid afer researching it on-line, I found a new one at Wal-Mart, in-store, for three dollars more.

Overall, I like this machine, but I would not recommend it to anyone who is use to using a flatbed "all-in-one."

This is a awesome printer.I have had mine for two years. Still going strong.Best printer i have ever had. Easy to use software and instruction book.These are currently selling a walmart for 79.99..If you can find one cheaper then the walmart price. Grab it.. So this deal is a great deal...

I based this purchase on cost..like all of us do here on eBay. This was a refurbished item with a "same as new" warranty, so it was worth the chance. When it arrived it was DOA. The real troubles started when I began the goat roping / monkey chase to get a replacement or refund. The eBay seller was very nice, but useless and Lexmark was a bunch of totally unintelligible. gibbering foreigners at the other end of a 1-800 number. After three days of phone calls to Lexmark, I finally got a replacement machine on the way. There was never any hope of a refund from the eBay seller or Lexmark. I'd still take a refund in a New York second...... Spent $5.00 (after rebate) for a great Brothers FAX-575...

I love the built in telephone .It saves space on my crowded home office desk.
I do wish the printer was a bit faster.

I really needed a printer for my small business and photocopying and this is perfect for my needs.

Doesn't print correctly, wasted numerous printing lables!I would love a refund or another printer. I would not buy this product again.

I bought Lexmark X4270 All-In-One InkJet Printer a month ago and sent it as a gift to another country.
I hope it'll work well for a long time.

I bought it because I needed a new printer and it was very cheap. I like it because it does everything, printer, scanner, copier and fax. I don't like the fact that it sucks up the ink. but fortunately I can buy the ink on ebay for a cheaper price than if I went to the store.

I like what it does however I have not had the opportunity to use it 100% yet. This is because it was shipped without the handset. I am still waiting on the handset that should have been here a week ago. It can still copy, scan, print and receive faxes but without the handset it cannot send a fax.

I bought an all in one at one of the discount stores, and if you don't mind buying disposable items, I suppose it's OK. Mine worked great until about two weeks after warranty. It still prints just fine, but the scanner, copier, and fax on it are useless. Contacted customer service, and they had me doing all kinds of things that didn't work. Finally they told me that it couldn't be fixed, and they'd give me a "deal" for about $300 on another all-in-one.

My recent purchase, the "Lexmark X4270 All-In-One InkJet Printer", is truly ALL in one. I now have a lot less clutter and a lot more work space for my home office. This is not just a printer that happens to fax, scan, and copy. It has proven to be ALL of the above. For me the"Lexmark X4270 All-In-One InkJet Printer" is a great tool any home office.

I like the printer except that everytime I try to print the FAX option comes up. I wish there was a way to disable the FAX completely and just active it if I need it. I rarely fax so it can be annoying when I keep getting pop ups about the FAX option. Other than that I like it.

This product does every thing you need it to do , works well with a gateway computer, easy to connect. Very nice product.
