Johnny Depp and Tim Burton team up again in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - a hilarious and wildly visual remake of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Just like any other Tim Burton movie, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory is fantastic to watch - great color, production and direction. And just like any other Johnny Depp movie, its very well acted.
Johnny Depp and Tim Burton got rave reviews for the movie which drove strong box office success nationally and abroad. Kids and parents alike will enjoy the movie - for different reasons. Either way, its a very fun and different twist on a classic movie... and I'm always up for a Depp / Burton combination:

This is a fantastic re-make of the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Jonny Depp portrays Wonka perfectly, with a great balance of comedy, sarcasm, and wit. A great movie for the entire family. Our 4 year old daughter loves it and would watch it over and over (if we let her). I highly recommend this movie to anyone.

i liked that it was a 2-disc special edition for alot cheaper than in stores. it was in excellent condition. better than i ever expected. still had all the inserts and trading cards unopened inside. daughters love the 2nd disc because of all the fun things you can do.

I absolutely loved this movie. Great story, great cinematography, well cast, awesome performance, but when I saw it the first time it was a little odd. You get used to it after a while, but that kind of messes with you a little the second time it was much funnier. It was hilarious the first time, but the second time is even more so. Great dvd, a must buy!

When you go movie shopping this is a great choice for an audience craving a mysterious story and humor. The story line is superb and is an excellent release. I definately bought this expecting the magic of the original. I surely was wrong and miss the classic. This remake seens more dark and less cheery.

To remake the 1971 hit Wily Wonka & the Chocolate Factory for most people would seem outragious! This remake however gives some insight to the depth of the actual novel that Dahul wrote. Tim Burton's firm idea was to go straight back to the book and not add much more besides a rather odd ending for the picture. It would seem more appropriate to continue on with Charlie & the Great Glass Elevator as the sequal which is not as popular. Once again we see five children including Charlie win five golden tickets to go visit Mr. Wonka's factory. This time we get Freddy Highmore (Charlie Buckett), AnnaSophia Robb (Violet Beareguarde), Julie Winters (Veruca Salt), Jordan Fry (Miek TeeVee) and Philip Wiegratz as overweight Agustus Gloop.

Charlie and the chocolate factoryI bought this dvd for my 5 year old son, and he loves it. The bonus dvd is also great. He loves the games on it. This is a movie the whole family can enjoy. Johnny Depp plays the part very well and puts a new spin on an old classic.

This movie was very good. I love johnny depp and thought he played this role very well. The only thing I didnt care for about the movie was the flash backs to when he was a child. Not as good as the original but a deff must have!!

) It is a great movie!I always liked Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory so I wanted to see this updated version. It is definitely different from the original but it's got a weird funniness about it. Johnny Depp is great. He played the part perfect. He really makes the movie!
