I must say that when I first of heard of this book on a talk radio show and how great it was, I became skeptical. How often it is we hear things on ads that sound great and end up being a complete let down. This book was all it was hyped up to be and more. When reading this text you learn that your entire outlook on life, not just work, is completely backwards. This outlook is engraved into us as youngsters and we think that all is great and correct with the philosophy. This book turns your entire thinking around. It will show you what a powerful effect God plays on your life, your work life especially. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who is not getting everything the absolutely want out of life. This book will help you achieve all your goals. This book is probably the best money that can be spent to gain a positive attitude in all areas of life. I am so pleased with this book that I have purchased other items from Dan Miller's website, all have been equally great. This book gave me alot of great information about looking for a new career. After being a public school teacher for 21 years, I don't think it is my passion any longer. I hope and pray this book leads me to my new passion and therefore, new career.

When I first started reading the book, I was sucked in, it really kept my attention. I was learning some new things that I had not thougt of before. And like many other selfhelp books the moral of the story is the same or the stories are repeated with different people involved. I think this book must have been written for those with little or no work experience at all. For those floks its a must buy. Get started on the teachings earlie in your search for fulfilling work that you love and this book will do you well. " All things are possible to him that believeth".

Dan Miller's book is full of practical ideas and thoughts on pursuing the vocation that best suits the gifts, skills, and interests God has given you. I purchased the CD version to listen to in the car. I was hesitant to do so because I did not want a boring dull voice reading me the book. Well, it's not action packed or very theatrical, but I am able to listen as if I am having a regular conversation with someone next to me.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone, whether you love your job or do not. I guarantee you will learn something new.

WOW, That is what I say about this book. This book has made me rethink my career. It makes you think about your strengths and weaknesses. It teaches you a way to get around the norm for job hunters. It teaches a different way of searching for work than most people use. Understand that this books title is not 48 days to the job you love, it is work you love. That means you need to enjoy the work and it not just another job. This is not a fly through read either, you need to take your time in reading this book. You need to let this stuff sink in. You may even start thinking of starting your own business. It is no wonder Dave Ramsey has this on his must read list.

I am still in the process of reading this book, and I can't wait to finish. It is one of the best books I've read on your life's work.
I do wish this book would be one every 11th grader had to read or at least every Senior in High School before a diploma could be issued. Then maybe our colleges would be filled with kids knowing WHAT they NEED to be.
This is an excellent read for both men and women, if you want to know what you should be doing with your life...is it a 'J O B' that you hate, or a calling that you love each day?

48 Days to the work you love is a Scam. The book speaks in vague generalities and never leads you to figuring out the work you love. The book is filled with more stories of other people than anything else and lots of redundant repetition about the vague content mentioned. The climax of the book you would think, would be helping you discover what career paths might lead to the work you could love, what you should do in life, instead its a link to a web-site on page 73 where you are asked to pay another 28.50 to fill out a career profile. You can take a look at a sample career profile, its 33 pages of more vague content. If the sample profile was your own you would be just as lost as when you first read the book and took the online profile due to its rather lengthy possibilities and vagueness. You might as well look at your horoscope! If you want to waste your time and money then this is the book for you. Need more convincing then go to 48days.com
