I was there!
This was a post Thanksgiving Day '04 show at the Sunset House of Blues that I attended (that had the Blasters opening). This DVD accurately portrays X, here and now. They may be older (we all are), but they're as tight as ever, and they can still rock the house as they did over 25 years ago (see "The Decline of Western Civilization" and "The Unheard Music"). This is the original line-up that includes Billy Zoom, and they covered almost all the material from "Los Angeles" to "More Fun in the New World." (Unfortunately, they didn't cover anything from "Ain't Love Grand"-it would be interesting to hear them redo the songs without the Michael Wagener "heavy metal" production.) The bonus acoustic tracks are a treat as well, again reminiscent of a scene in "The Unheard Music". No disrespect to Tony Gilkyson, but this is the real X.
