Sweet Valley High - Season One (DVD, 2005)

The series "Sweet Valley High" was ended early for a reason. It is incredibly over-acted, seeming more like a teenagers soap opera than an actual series. The characters are obnoxious with their delivery of the lines, and seem to be trying way to hard. I am still happy to have purchased the item for my collection, it is definitely a must have for any collector. I just would not recommend this for anyone expecting to receive a REAL TV series...it is more like a bad school play :) I watched it once through, and will probably never watch it again....but I won't be getting rid of it! It isn't sold in stores in my state, so as I said before.....it is a MUST HAVE for any avid Sweet Valley collector. But not a show for the critics :)

Well. I was a little bit disappointed: I`m russian and we have no this tv-series at all. Only 30 SWBooks were translated into our language that is why I was really happy to buy this discs. But it was my fault that I was expected this tv-show to be in the "gossip-girl" style of filming: hello, it were 90-th, not 2000-th! And it is really good in that case.

This one good '90s tv show, the show is very much like the books. It's a little cheesy in a teen book/show way but with Sweet Valley that just makes it all that much better!

i loved watching this programe every saturday morning as was well dissappointed when it was taken off so i am really glad that i can watch it again after so many years.

I used to watch this show all the time when I was a kid. I also collected the books. The only problem I had was the bonus content....there isn't any.

The DVD's came in a presentable package and all of the discs were in great shape. I would recommend seller.

I love anything to do with sweet valley - and have been a fan for years. I am now 26 and collecting all the books and hopefully all the merchandise, so this is a good collection peace. Hopefully the other 3 seasons would come on dvd's too. I would definetly buy them. If you are a sweet valley fan, this is a must buy.

For those of you, who like me, scowered over these books in middle school, it is trip down memory lane. Looking past the wild, often unrealistic plot lines, one can't help love the these two dynamic twins.

I was however actually quite suprised at the mood potrayed in the tv series versus the books - perhaps it is how the lead actresses come accross, that being a little older than high school students.

That aside, it is a delightful and reminiscent indulgence.

I love its quality! Brand new and sealed. Decided to buy it for its convenience and affordability. Its for the die hard fans who would love to see the story come to life on screen, definately a must-see for fans.

I have always been a fan of the Sweet valley books, all the way from the Sweet Valley Kids up to the Sweet Valley University books. I love that some was put onto the screen, because it is always good to put a face with a name. This TV series is overall kid friendly with little or no cursing in it. The series was short-runned but it was great while it was on tv.

I received what i payed for. I was very pleased with this product. The product was received unopened and in great condition and in a timely manner.
