Synopsis
In the fourth book of the Cedar Cove series, romance/women's fiction writer Debbie Macomber continues the stories of several residents in a small Washington town. The central plotline concerns Bob and Peggy Beldon. In the previous book, 311 PELICAN COURT, a man traveling under a fake name died in Bob and Peggy's Thyme and Tide B & B. The murdered man was actually Max Russell, a comrade of Bob's from when both men served in the Vietnam War. The police (and Max's daughter Hannah) fear that Bob may be the killer's next target, but Bob stubbornly refuses to leave Cedar Cove.

Dear Reader,
I love living in Cedar grove, but things haven't been the same since a man did in our B and B. Turns out his name was Max Russell, and Bob had known him briefly in Vietnam. We still don't have any idea why he came here and -- most important of all -- who killed him. Because he now appears that he was poisoned. I sure hope somebody figures it out soon!
Not that we're providing the only news in Cedar Cove these days. I heard that Jon Bowman and Maryellen Sherman are getting married. And Maryellen's mom, Grace, has more than her share of interested men! The question is: Which one is she going to choose? Olivia -- I guess it's Olivia Griffin now -- is back from her honeymoon, and her mother, Charlotte (who's in her mid-seventies at least), seems to have a man in her life, too. I'm not so sure Olivia's too pleased. . . .
There's lots of other gossip I could tell you. Come by for a cup of tea and one of my blueberry muffins and we'll talk.
Peggy

Industry Reviews
"The books in Macomber's contemporary Cedar Cover series are like a box of assorted Krispy Kremes: light and fluffy but delicious and addictive."

This is Ms. Macomber's 4th book in the loved Cedar Cove series.

The book's main focus is about the man who was killed while staying at Bob and Peggy Beldon's B&B. Other stories along the way are about Jon Bowman and Maryellen Sherman. They are in love and have a child together, but Maryellen is not happy with Jon's relationship with his parents. Then there is Grace Sherman who has guilt about her on-line romance consequence with Will Jefferson, and is hoping Cliff Harding will find it in his heart to forgive her. You are introduced to newly married Olivia and Jack Griffin who seem to be having difficulties in adjusting to married life. She likes things very neat, while Jack....well, Jack is a slob who has some bad eating habits. The town is also getting ready for a "dog and bachelor" auction/fundraiser and the last question is....who is sending Roy McAfee those mysterious messages?

Ms. Macomber does a wonderful job of weaving all the characters into the story so you feel as if you have stepped into the town itself. She ends this book with a cliff-hanger so you'll need to read the next one to find out what happens. Good way to sell books!
