The 40-Year-Old Virgin (DVD, 2005, Widescreen; Unrated)

This movie was side splitting from the moment the opening scene began with Steve Carral mounting his Schwinn, to the all anticipated finale when the cast breaks out into a 70's song parody (literally). I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this movie, and since buying it on the release date have watched it at least 5x, and each time I notice something that I didn't see the last time I watched it. Steve Carell is a genius, he knows what we want to see and provides comedy in a way that hasn't been seen since the likes of early Eddie Murphy. His ability to morph into his characters and provide the audience with a true sense of how the character feels is amazing. He explores topics in new and inventive ways and allows us to laugh, really belly laugh so loud that you will need to rewind the DVD just to hear the next line because you were laughing so hard at 1 line, the next was inaudible over the laughter! Truly a great movie experience! If you love to laugh, and don't mind naughty content, well, then I recommend this DVD to all mature audiences looking to escape the mundane everyday torture we refer to as life. 2 very big thumbs up for The 40 Year Old Virgin.
